Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit — Support to Micro and Small Enterprises

WIDU.africa supports job creation in Africa by redirecting remittances from the African diaspora in Europe into micro and small businesses of relatives or friends in participating African countries. The WIDU Grant supports new and existing businesses with up to €2,500. Currently, WIDU offers local calls targeting green businesses in Kenya and Ethiopia to support enterprises interested in building a sustainable green future in their communities. Target sectors include renewable energy, agriculture, and reduction of waste. Applicants need to either have an existing small business or a concrete business idea. International Fund for Agricultural Development — Remittance Innovation Champions

The Remittance Innovation Champions 2022 South Africa finances private sector initiatives that develop innovative and cost-effective international remittance services for marginalized populations, particularly women and the rural poor. Grants range from  €150 thousand to €300 thousand. IFAD welcomes strategic partnerships linking for-profit entities with non-profit organizations. Deadline for submissions is 07 October 2022. Global Landscapes Forum — Seed Funding to Protect and Restore Forests

The Global Landscapes Forum (GLFx) provides seed funding to protect and restore forest areas in Africa. Applications run through GLF chapters, groups of local change agents that mobilize their communities and stakeholders to promote sustainable landscape restoration. Selected chapters will receive a seed fund of €5 thousand to run chapter activities such as community training, workshops and toolkits to facilitate the implementation of community action plans. World Wildlife Fund U.S. — Reforestation Grants

The Reforestation Grant Program supports communities in deforested and degraded landscapes through forest restoration and reforestation. Reforestation grants are made to local organizations that focus on connecting corridors, creating buffer zones, improving degraded lands, restoring watersheds, and expanding forest cover. Greater Mekong Subregion Secretariat — Agriculture and Food Security Program

The Greater Mekong Subregion Secretariat invites applications for demonstration pilots of innovative technologies to supply safe and climate-friendly agri-food products in Cambodia, China, Lao PDR, Thailand and Vietnam. Proposed demonstration projects should not exceed US$100 thousand. Government departments, civil society organizations, private companies, universities and research institutes can apply. AstraZeneca — Lead2030 Challenge for SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-Being)

The Young One World Lead2030 Challenge for SDG 3 seeks youth-led projects which tackle the causes of air pollution and focus on the long-term health of young people. Projects should focus on individual behavior change, new technologies, or multi-stakeholder advocacy approaches to change laws/policies. The challenge welcomes solutions from young innovators (18-30 years old). The winner will receive a US$50 thousand project startup grant and 12-months of mentorship from a team of AstraZeneca Young Health Program professionals. The application deadline is 30 November 2022. Disney Worldwide Conservation Fund — Annual Conservation Grants 2023

The Disney Worldwide Conservation Fund makes grants for wildlife studies, habitat protection, and community conservation and education in critical ecosystems around the world. Disney supports projects that build on previous work, and that have the potential to contribute to long-term conservation. Eligibility extends to nonprofit organizations worldwide. The Conservation Fund will consider requests for a maximum of US$100 thousand to be provided over two years. The deadline to submit inquiries is 01 November 2022. Disney Conservation

Spark — Seed Grants for Grassroots Women’s Organizations

Spark provides seed grants (US$3 – $5 thousand) to grassroots women’s organizations working internationally and in the US. In addition to grant funding, Spark offers individual pro bono professional services. Organizations engaged in addressing the root causes of challenges that women face internationally, including economic livelihood among others, are eligible to apply. Sparks looks for organizations that provide a service that is not currently available to women in that geographical area. Personio Foundation — Support for Climate Action

Personio Foundation provides financial and strategic support to organizations working in the fields of Climate Action and/or Education. Personio offers unrestricted, multi-year grants between €50 thousand and €100 thousand per year as well as non-financial support and Personio software. Facebook — Community Accelerator Program

Facebook announces its Community Accelerator Program to provide training, support and funding to enable great communities to make an even greater positive impact in the world. Facebook will award up to US$40 thousand per community and provide personalized coaching. The program is open to communities that have a presence in Facebook Groups with leaders who reside in the following countries: Argentina, Colombia, Chile, Peru, Mexico, Brazil, United States, Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Bangladesh, United Kingdom, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, South Africa, Kenya, Nigeria, Ghana, Zambia, Tanzania, Egypt, Morocco, Lebanon, Jordan, United Arab Emirate & India.
