Earth Journalism Network — Building Awareness about Renewable Energy in India 

The Earth Journalism Network (EJN) seeks to boost content production and distribution of information to build awareness about renewable energy in India. EJN will support the production of in-depth content on the subject with approximately Rs 90,000 per selected applicant. Content can be produced in English or local languages, or both. Applications are open to India-based content producers (online, print, television, radio) and other experts with a demonstrated interest in covering the renewable energy sector. Village Capital — Ecosystem Restoration

Village Capital supports 10-12 impact-driven startups building locally viable ecosystem restoration solutions in Africa. The program addresses entrepreneurs championing forest restoration, biodiversity conservation, wetland restoration and water conservation,  sustainable agriculture and climate tech solutions. Participants will receive mentorship and access to an investment analyst. Eligibility extends to (for-profit) startups building locally viable ecosystem restoration solutions. European Commission — Regeneration of Natural Resources and Ecosystems

The European Commission (EC) aims to contribute to sustainable and inclusive transformation of food systems in Malawi. EC seeks projects that focus on better preservation, restoration and regeneration of the natural resource base and its diverse ecosystems. Applicants can request between €750 thousand and 1 million for project implementation. Eligibility extends to district councils in Malawi. Blue Action Fund — Asia-Pacific Region

The Blue Action Fund announces a new open call for grant proposals focusing on the Asia-Pacific Region. The Fund provides individual grants to selected conservation projects with focus on marine protected areas (MPAs) to support conservation of biodiversity, and projects that seek to enhance livelihood conditions and food security. The Fund will award grants of €2-4 million. Eligible applicants are non-profit organizations with proven experience in coastal and marine conservation and sustainable livelihood development in the area. Banyan Tree Global Foundation — Greater Good Grants

Bayan Tree Global Foundation accepts applications for the “2024 Greater Good Grants,” which aim to impactful initiatives that benefit local communities and environments in Mexico, Cuba, Morocco, Islands in Eastern Africa and Southeast Asia. The main focus areas for projects include freshwater access, alternative livelihood development that protects the environment, management of food waste and humanitarian themes. Cultural Survival — Indigenous Youth Fellowships

The Indigenous Youth Fellowship Project supports young Indigenous leaders between the ages of 17-28. Fellows work to represent the voices of their communities and bring awareness of local issues in the transition to renewable energy to global conversation. Grants range from US$2,500 to US$6,000. Eligible countries and regions are Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Bolivia, Peru, Panama, Venezuela, United States, Canada, Australia, DRC, Uganda, Indonesia, Sweden, Finland, Greenland, and Norway. Canada Fund for Local Initiatives — Community Projects in the Philippines

The Canada Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI) invites proposals that meet the needs of local communities in the Philippines. CFLI provides funding to projects that implement environment and climate action projects focusing on adaptation and mitigation, water management, and other thematic priorities. The average contribution is C$30 thousand. Eligibility extends to not-for-profit local, national or community-based organizations. The deadline for submission is 28 April 2023. CFLI Philippines

Canada Fund for Local Initiatives — Community Projects in Iraq

The Canada Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI) invites proposals that meet the needs of local communities in Iraq. CFLI provides funding to projects that implement environment and climate action projects focusing on adaptation and mitigation, water management, and other thematic priorities. The average contribution is C$20 thousand to C$40 thousand per project. Eligibility extends to not-for-profit local, national or community-based organizations. Next Generation Foresight Awards — Fellowship

The Next Generation Foresight Awards Fellowship is available to individuals who are advocating for foresight thinking and change in their community. Each fellow receives US$1,000 to develop their project. By the end of their one-year fellowship, all fellows have the chance to run for a more substantial grant of at least US$10 thousand. European Commission — Green Economy in Jordan

The European Commission (EC) seeks to contribute to the development of a green, environmentally sustainable and socially inclusive economy in Jordan. Funding is made available to projects that enhance coordination and sustainable resource management in the energy, water and agriculture sectors. Grant requested under this call for proposals must fall between €1.25 million and €2.5 million. Eligibility extends to businesses, academic institutions, and non-profit organizations.
