How it Works
The Terra Viva Grants Directory is an online information service. We share funding opportunities for the developing world in the subject areas (1) Agriculture, Fisheries, Forestry; (2) Biodiversity, Conservation, Wildlife; (3) Energy, Climate Change; (4) Water Resources; and (5) Cross-Cutting Subjects.
How to use our service
If you are looking for project funding or need a scholarship you should start with our free resources. We share current grant opportunities and profiles of over 800 grant programs.
Funding News
Funding News is a blog of open calls for proposals that we update several times per month. The grant opportunities contain application deadlines by months, subject areas, and forms of grant support.
Grant Maker Profiles
We publish short profiles of international grant makers. This section is a guide to the world’s principal grant makers by subject areas of the Terra Viva Grants Directory. Profiles are updated once a year. You can browse through over 800 grant programs with regional coverage for the developing world. Some grant makers post regular calls for proposals, others accept applications on a rolling basis.
If you want to save time, need email alerts and or want access to our searchable database, we invite you to subscribe to our services.
The Subscription
The Terra Viva Grants Directory offers memberships to help you make the best use of our service. We offer subscriptions at a micro-price and will offer you a full refund within 120 days of subscribing if you are not completely satisfied.
Searchable Database: The database helps you filter large amounts of grants data in a short time. You can search grants and other funding opportunities by subjects, world regions, application deadlines, countries of the grant makers, and when to apply.
Funding Alerts: Funding alerts are grant opportunities and scholarships from the funding news sent to your email inbox. You can sign up to receive newsletters from any of our main categories and for as many subject areas as you want. Obs. Make sure to subscribe to alerts that fit your areas of interest after you signed up and logged into your paid account. This can be done here
Monthly Updates: The monthly updates give you a summary of all grants posted in the previous 30 days. This newsletter is sent to your email inbox and contains grants posted in the Directory during the previous 30 days. The monthly update is organized in calendar format and shows profiles of grant makers that were updated and added during this period.
How do I submit an application to Terra Viva Grants to receive funding?
You don’t. We do not accept applications because we do not offer grants, fellowships, loans, donations, or other direct financial assistance! If you need support for your project or education we advice you to start looking for open opportunities in our funding news and browse through the grant maker profiles on our website. You are welcome to explore this information for free.
Remember, the Terra Viva Grants Directory is an online information service only. If you have any questions concerning a specific call for proposals, please contact the grant making organization directly. We always provide a link to the grant program with additional information.
I need help writing my proposal. Can you offer support?
Unfortunately, we do not engage in consulting or grant writing. Moreover, we do not comment on grant proposals sent to us via email or postal mail. We are a small non-profit organization and we operate at low cost. We simply lack manpower to attend to this demand.
But we want to offer you support. For that reason, we identify information sources for grant seekers. Links and Resources provides a selection of useful references for grant searches and proposal writing. We favor primary resources – those which are comprehensive, authoritative, and readily available.
If you have additional questions, please consult our FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions) section.
We wish you success in finding the support you need for your project.
