Wilson Center — International Fellowship Program

The Woodrow Wilson Center offers a 9-month residential fellowship to scholars, practitioners, journalists and public intellectuals. Fellows conduct research in their areas of interest, while interacting with policymakers in Washington and Wilson Center staff and other scholars in residence. The Center accepts proposals that address key challenges confronting the United States and the world. The Center offers a stipend of US$90 thousand. MDPI — Sustainability Travel Awards 2024

MDPI, a publisher of peer-reviewed, open access journals, grants travel awards to 5 junior scientists. The award provides financial support to attend an international conference in the field of sustainability and sustainable development, to be held in 2024. Candidates must be postdoctoral fellows or PhD students. The winners will each be awarded CHF 600 and a certificate. Applications have to be submitted by 31 December 2023. MDPI — Water Travel Award 2024

MDPI, a publisher of peer-reviewed, open access journals, invites applications for the 2024 Water Travel Awards. Three awards of CHF 800 each will go to junior scientists to present an oral presentation and/or poster at an international conference in 2024. MDPI, a publisher of peer-reviewed, open access journals, invites applications for the Water 2024 Best Paper Award for research and review articles published in Water in 2022. Global Water Partnership-Caribbean — Water and Wastewater Management

Global Water Partnership-Caribbean (GWP-C) supports the implementation of short-term, small-scale, innovative demonstration Integrated Water and Wastewater Management (IWWM) projects in the Caribbean. Each project for rural community-based interventions for wastewater management must have a total cost of no more than US$20 thousand with a duration no longer than six months. Interested organizations registered in the following countries: Jamaica, Barbados, Antigua and Barbuda, The Bahamas, Guyana, Grenada, Dominican Republic, Trinidad and Tobago, Saint Lucia, Belize, Suriname, St. Kitts and Nevis and Dominica are eligible to submit a concept note. Embassy of France to the Philippines — Support for local NGOs

The Embassy of France supports local organizations and calls for the submission of project proposals. The project can be related to environmental issues or other issues, as long as they benefit disadvantaged communities or social groups. This year, two grants of PHP300 thousand and PHP100 thousand will be awarded. Eligibility extends to locally recognized organizations, associated with the activities collectively implemented by the network of Franco-Philippine’s associations. Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research — Women’s Collective Action in Agri-food Systems

The Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR) aims to support a research project aimed at generating evidence on women’s collective action in agri-food systems from MENA and South Asia. One grant of a maximum of US$150 thousand will be awarded. Applications must be led by a CGIAR Center. The deadline for submissions is 02 August 2023. Details

Earth Company — Impact Hero 2024

Each year, Earth Company selects one Impact Hero that has the potential to transform the future of developing countries in the Asia-Pacific region. Impact Heroes are visionary leaders that tackle some of the most pressing social and environmental challenges and make transformative changes to the communities they serve. Earth Company provides 3 years of support through leadership coaching, fundraising, marketing and business development. Eligibility extends to everybody and all forms of organizations. German Academic Exchange Service — Co-funded Research Grants

DAAD co-funds research grants for qualified applicants from Brazil. The aim of the program is to promote research projects within the context of doctoral studies. The program accepts doctoral candidates at universities in Brazil, who have been awarded a domestic scholarship from CAPES (Co-funder). Subject areas include natural sciences and agriculture, among others. The domestic doctoral scholarships will be paid by CAPES during the research stay in Germany, and DAAD will co-fund a monthly payment of €650, health, accident and personal liability insurance cover, and travel allowance. The application deadline is 31 October 2023 (for a research stay between May 2024 and January 2025). Find out more

Alexander von Humboldt Foundation — Georg Forster Research Fellowship

The Georg Forster Research Fellowship supports postdoctoral and experienced researchers from developing and transition countries with their research in collaboration with a host at a German research institution. Nominees must be nationals of a developing or transition country, excluding the People’s Republic of China and India. The monthly fellowship amount is €2,670. Fellowships may last from 6 to 24 months. Applications are reviewed on a regular basis in February, June and October. More here
