SEED — Replicator Workshop for Eco-Enterprises

The SEED Replicator program offers incubation workshops to identify opportunities for enterprise creation and to guide aspiring entrepreneurs and business owners looking for partnerships to build an eco-inclusive business model. Successful alumni can apply for a SEED Grant which pays for your immediate necessary activities, measures, or machinery required to establish the new enterprise. SEED Replicator Program currently invites applications from entrepreneurs in India. Participation is free, although participants need to cover their transportation costs and accommodation. SAIS — Female Founder Award

The SAIS Female Founder Award is a company development and accelerator program for African tech start-ups in the agriculture, food, and livestock sectors. The award aims to strengthen the visibility of female-led start-ups and to promote female founders in Africa. The three winners will win in-kind support worth up to €30 thousand. World Food Programme — Accelerator

The World Food Progamme (WFP) launches the “Stability-and-Peace Accelerator Programme” to seek and scale high-impact innovations that bolster food, land, and water systems in these vulnerable regions. WFP seeks innovators, entrepreneurs, and changemakers with groundbreaking solutions that can drive resilience, enhance climate adaptability, and promote sustainability among communities battered by conflict. The WFP Innovation Accelerator will support selected teams through a comprehensive program designed to accelerate the development of promising solutions and prepare them for scaling. European Marine Board — Ocean Artwork

The EMBracing the Ocean program provides grants of €10 thousand to individuals or groups to create artwork in collaboration with Ocean scientists. The program aims to raise societal awareness of the Ocean’s value and contribute new insight to scientific research. Applications can be submitted until 18 February 2024. Link to EMBracing the Ocean

African Food Changemakers — Leading African Women in Food Fellowship

The Leading African Women in Food Fellowship (LAWFF) program is an initiative designed to empower women leaders in the African food and agriculture sector. The program provides training, mentorship, and a supportive community. Eligibility extends to African women between 25 and 40 years with at least three years of experience working in the agri-food sector. Nominations have to be submitted by 18 February 2024. United Nations Development Program — Equator Prize 2024

The Equator Prize 2024 recognizes innovative initiatives from Indigenous peoples and local communities that demonstrate exceptional achievements in nature-based solutions for local sustainable development. Nominated projects may focus on solutions for sustainable food systems, restoration of ecosystems that help communities adapt to the impacts of climate change, or protection of terrestrial or marine ecosystems, biodiversity, and wildlife. Special consideration will be given to nominees working on water security and disaster risk reduction. The nominated initiative must have been in existence for at least three years. Swedish Institute — Scholarships for Global Professionals

The Swedish Institute (SI) provides fully-funded international scholarships for master’s studies in Sweden. The scholarship for global professionals aims to develop future global leaders who will contribute to the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and contribute to positive and sustainable development in their home countries. The scholarship is intended for full-time one-year or two-year master’s programs. SI fully covers tuition fees and makes regular payments of SEK12 thousand to cover living expenses throughout the scholarship. The application portal will close on 28 February 2024. World Bank — PhD Scholarship for Research in Development

The Robert S. McNamara Fellowships Program (RSMFP) provides support to PhD candidates from developing countries to conduct PhD research on a development topic in a World Bank member country other than the Fellow’s home country. The funding is for 6-10 months in any field of applied research that addresses poverty alleviation. The fellowship offers compensation, totaling $42,750 per fellow. Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations — Fellowship Program

The FAO Fellows Program offers scholarships for Master of Science degree courses in Hungary. The scholarship will cover application and tuition fees, dormitory accommodation, subsistence costs, and health insurance. Selected candidates may be asked to take a written or oral English examination as part of the admission procedure. Applicants have to be nationals of a FAO Member Nation. RespectOcean — Ocean Pitch Challenge

The Ocean Pitch Challenge seeks economically viable solutions for the protection of the oceans and its marine and coastal ecosystems. 10 finalists will get a chance to pitch their ideas and have their solutions funded by investors.
