European Commission — Women’s Rights in India

The European Commission aims to strengthen the ability of Indian civil society to implement actions that bring transformative change into the lives of women and girls. Priority will be given to proposals building capacities with specific emphasis on increasing women’s participation in the climate change agenda and promoting women’s economic rights (which may include agriculture). Grants requested under this call for proposals must fall between €750 thousand and €1 million. Eligibility extends to non-profit organizations registered in India or the European Union. European Commission — Sustainable Development in Thailand

The European Commission aims to increase capacity and establish an enabling environment for Thai CSOs to address issues of poverty and inequality. One of the priorities under this call is to increase participation in climate change and environmental policy making and implementation. Eligible actions include mainly capacity building, networking, advocacy and research activities. Grants requested under this call for proposals must fall between €500 thousand and €750 thousand. Belmont Forum — Research for Ocean Sustainability

The Belmont Forum calls for global partnerships of academics and non-academics to address conservation and the sustainable use of the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development. This call aims to support medium-size research projects with a direction of three to four years, with a recommended budget of up to €1.5 million. Research consortia must include at least three participating partner organizations established in three different countries to be eligible under this call. Participating countries are: Brazil, France, Germany, Iceland, India, Japan, Philippines, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Sweden, USA, Somalia, Kenya, Tanzania, Mozambique, Comoros and Madagascar. Agropolis Fondation — PhD Fellowships for Agriculture and Sustainable Development

The Agropolis Fondation and partners aim to create and strengthen a dynamic exchange between research and higher education institutions in France and Southeast Asia in the area of agriculture and sustainable development. Therefore, the Foundation will provide 8 PhD Fellowships to Southeast Asian students enrolled in universities in Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Indonesia (note: participating universities are mentioned in the call for proposals). Indo-US Science and Technology Forum — Water Advanced Research & Innovation Fellowship

The IUSSTF invites applications for the Water Advanced Research and Innovation (WARI) Fellowship Program. Selected Indian students and scientists will gain access to the research facilities at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and the Daugherty Water for Food Institute. Earth Journalism Network — Environmental Reporting in the Asia-Pacific

The EJN makes media grants to strengthen the capacity of local and regional organizations to produce more high-quality stories that cover climate change, the environment and natural resource-management issues. The typical grant will be for up to US$20 thousand and support a one-year project. This grant program accepts applications from media organizations, civil society organizations and academic institutions throughout Asia and the Pacific. German Embassy — Small-Scale Project Funding for Bangladesh

Germany has provided government funding of approx. €2.7 billion for bilateral development projects in Bangladesh. Focus areas under this call are Renewable Energy, Climate Change, and Human Rights. International Primatological Society — Primate Conservation, Research, and Education

IPS makes grants to support primate conservation in the field; primate care in captivity; conservation education; and conservation training. Asian Institute of Technology — Masters Scholarships in Energy and Environment

The Asian Institute of Technology invites applications for the Loom Nam Khong Pijai Scholarships for masters degree programs in infrastructure development; energy technology; oil, gas, and natural resources development; and environmental engineering and management. Eligibility extends to nationals of Thailand, Myanmar, Lao PDR, Cambodia, Vietnam and China (Yunnan and Guangxi Provinces). Each scholarship covers tuition and registration fees, accommodation, and a bursary for living expenses at AIT‘s residential campus in Thailand for the 22 months of the masters program. British Council — Promoting STEM Education of Girls in Vietnam

The British Council seeks applications from UK consultants for the project “Promote school girls’ interest and participation in science and innovation through STEM education and digital skills”.
