The International Marine Animal Trainers Association (IMATA) provides financial support for non-profit organization projects that focus on conservation-oriented issues that serve marine mammal science through training, public display, research, husbandry, conservation, and education. SEED — Workshop and Support for Eco-Enterprises
The SEED Replicator program offers incubation workshops to identify opportunities for enterprise creation and to guide aspiring entrepreneurs and business owners looking for partnerships to build an eco-inclusive business model. SEED Starter program guides participants from the early stages of ideation to the generation of a viable business plan. SEED Replicator targets entrepreneurs without a business idea as well as early-stage entrepreneurs who are trying to identify partnership opportunities and grow their impact. SEED Catalyser guides enterprises to refine their business models and optimize their impacts. SEED Accelerator develops the investment readiness and operational excellence of established eco-inclusive enterprises looking to scale up. Successful alumni can apply for a SEED Grant which pays for your immediate necessary activities, measures, or machinery required to establish the new enterprise. The Explorers Club — Impact Grants
The Explorers Club Impact Grants support individual researchers and explorers worldwide who conduct field-based scientific expeditions in disciplines such as ecology, earth sciences, anthropology, archaeology, paleontology, and astronomy—especially exploring regions experiencing environmental or cultural change. African World Heritage Fund — Grants for World Heritage Conservation
The African World Heritage Fund (AWHF) provides grants to implement projects and activities which focus on improving the state of conservation of World Heritage properties located in Africa. Project activities are restricted to African government institutions involved in the management and protection of World Heritage sites, both cultural and natural, as defined by UNESCO. The grant will cover direct costs related to project activities. Applicants can apply for up to US$10 thousand in project funding. Projects must be implemented within 12 months. The Nature Conservancy — Mangrove-Positive Businesses Funding
The Nature Conservancy supports scalable, nature-positive business models that incentivize the conservation of mangroves, seagrasses, and tidal marshes. The 2025 call focuses on four high-impact value chains: integrated mud crab aquaculture, sustainable shrimp farming, nutraceutical products from mangroves, and Nypa palm-based goods such as sugar, vinegar, and biodegradable crafts. Up to US$1.25 million in total funding and technical assistance will be allocated to around five selected partners. The program is open to organizations interested in co-developing solutions to overcome bottlenecks in these emerging sectors. The application deadline is 01 August 2025. Link
U.S. National Fish and Wildlife Foundation — Seabird Conservation Program 2025
The U.S. National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF) invites applications to improve populations of focal Pacific seabirds through actions that increase survival and reproduction. Proposed projects may address the management of non-native, invasive animals; restoration of nesting grounds and habitat; research and monitoring activities to address conservation needs; or activities that reduce bycatch. Institute for Global Environmental Strategies — Satoyama Development Mechanism 2025
The IGES, the United Nations University Institute for Advanced Studies on Sustainability, and Japan’s Ministry of the Environment announce the latest round of sub-grants under the Satoyama Development Mechanism. The International Partnership for the Satoyama Initiative (IPSI) promotes the sustainable use of Socio-Ecological Production Landscapes and Seascapes. Grants are up to US$20 thousand for field projects; research; collaboration activities; and capacity building and outreach that link ecosystems and community systems on a sustainable basis. Play for Nature — Biodiversity Conservation
Play for Nature supports global biodiversity conservation through two thematic tracks: Biodiv’Monde, focused on in-situ conservation and scientific studies of endangered species and habitats, and Biodiv’Sport, which funds projects linking biodiversity awareness with sports events and outdoor activities. The Joke Waller-Hunter (JWH) Initiative offers grants to advance the leadership of young individuals working for or affiliated with environmental civil society organizations in developing and emerging countries. Brookfield Zoo Chicago — Endangered Species Fund
The Brookfield Zoo Chicago administers conservation grants funded by the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT). The Fund’s priority is to support projects that assist directly in the protection of populations of threatened and endangered species; or that protect a specific habitat that is of high biological value or that is substantially threatened (IUCN Red List Status).
