London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine — Planetary Health Postdoctoral Fellowship

The Planetary Health Postdoctoral Fellowship is aimed at early-career researchers focused on the intersection of human health and environmental change. The fellowship supports solutions-oriented research addressing critical issues such as climate change, biodiversity loss, pollution, and sustainable food systems. The fellowship is fully funded for two years, with a competitive salary and research support. The fellowship is open globally to researchers within three years of completing their PhD, with experience in planetary health-related disciplines (e.g., epidemiology, environmental science, health policy). Earth Journalism Network — Virtual Reporting Fellowships

The Earth Journalism Network (EJN) hosts a virtual media workshop for business and finance journalists in Bangladesh, India, Indonesia and Thailand seeking to strengthen their climate-focused reporting on environmental accountability, financial and industry solutions and informing public demand for change in Asia’s business sector. Participants who attend the workshop will also be eligible to apply for a story grant to produce journalistic work. Applications are open to journalists working in any medium (online, print, television, radio) and other media practitioners with experience covering business, finance and/or the economy. Simavi — Water Justice Fund

The Water Justice Fund supports advocacy, campaigns, learning, and evidence-based research to advance water justice and climate resilience with a feminist approach in Kenya, Bangladesh, and Nepal. Individual grants are up to €5 thousand per year. Organizational grants (organizations, networks, collectives) are up to €10 thousand per year. The fund is open to organizations, networks, collectives, and individuals based in Kenya, Bangladesh, or Nepal. Applications have to be submitted by 04 July 2025. Water Justice Fund

Centre for Science and Environment — Green School Activation Program

The Green School Activation Program (GSAP) is aimed at promoting green education through a whole-school approach in secondary schools. GSAP is designed to restore green and healthy learning environments, enhance food security through vertical gardens, strengthen climate education, and embed circular economy practices in schools. To be eligible for the Green School Activation Programme, applicants must currently be teaching in Abuja, Lagos, or Oyo State. The deadline for submission is 15 July 2025. Earth Journalism Network — Media Partnership Reporting Fellowships to COP30

The Climate Change Media Partnership announces the COP30 Reporting Fellowship Program for journalists from low- and middle-income countries interested in covering the 30th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP30). The Fellowship will cover economy-class airfare, accommodation, meals, travel medical insurance, and ground transportation costs related to participation. The deadline is 15 July 2025. Link

Earth Journalism Network — Fellowship for Social Media Creators and Journalists in South and Southeast Asia

The Earth Journalism Network (EJN) seeks social media content creators curious to learn more about biodiversity issues and incorporate journalism skills, as well as environmental journalists interested in building their social media skills for a joint fellowship program designed to enable both groups to share insights and create evidence-based and engaging biodiversity-related content on social media. EJN will offer US$2,000 each to 10 social media content creators and 10 journalists across South and Southeast Asia. Social media content creators and journalists based in South and Southeast Asia are eligible. The application deadline is 16 July 2025. German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety — Marine Litter Innovation Challenge

The PROTEGO Marine Litter Innovation Challenge empowers organizations in Ghana and Nigeria to develop and scale innovative solutions addressing marine plastic pollution in identified hot spots along the Gulf of Guinea. Participants can receive up to €40,000 in project funding. Eligible applicants include NGOs, companies, research institutions, or community organizations. The application deadline is 21 July 2025. International Federation of Inventors’ Associations — Regenerative Innovation Competition

The International Federation of Inventors’ Associations (IFIA) accepts applications for the prestigious Regenerative Innovation Competition. The initiative aims to unite visionaries from Latin America and the Caribbean, in an effort to generate breakthrough solutions in fields such as Renewable Energy and Urban Sustainability, among others. Participation is open to individuals aged 16 and above, including representatives of academic institutions, third-sector organizations, startups, and traditional businesses. Friends of Nepal — Nepal Grants

Friends of Nepal (FoN) supports initiatives that fight climate change and environmental degradation and provide solutions to agricultural and economic development in Nepal. FoN welcomes applications that simultaneously address climate change, natural resource conservation, and sustainability as well as economic development. U.S. Department of State — Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowships 2026-2027

The Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program supports non-degree academic study and related professional experiences in the U.S. for experienced professionals from Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Dominica, Grenada, St. Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, and St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Fellows are hosted at universities in the USA. Program fields include agriculture and rural development; natural resources, environmental policy, climate change; and many others.
