Aspire Institute — Leaders Program for First-generation University Students

The Aspire Leaders Program provides academic and professional development resources to students who are from backgrounds of social and financial adversity. All applicants must be between the ages of 18-26, come from a low-income background and be the first generation to attend university. Through the program, students will gain access to fully-funded HarvardX courses and participate in live seminars with Harvard University. Eligibility extends to students from all around the world as long as they are enrolled in an undergraduate program or have recently graduated (within three years). Save Our Species — Lemur Conservation in Madagascar

SOS announces a call for proposals to protect threatened lemurs in Madagascar. Applicants should develop their proposals following the IUCN strategy for lemur conservation in Madagascar. Eligibility for grants extends to civil society organizations for field-based conservation. Applicants will be expected to work closely with local communities and government authorities. Grants range from CHF 50 thousand to CHF 100 thousand. Requirements for matching funds are scaled to project size. The application deadline is 09 July 2025. Link

Korea International Water Week — World Water Challenge 2025

The World Water Challenge is an international contest for water solutions. The Korea International Water Week (KIWW) aims to discover imminent water problems and to find feasible solutions. Participants are asked to select a water challenge (identified in the call) and submit their solution. The total prize amount for the World Water Challenge 2025 is KRW 10 million (approx. US$7,600). Winners will have the chance to be invited to the WWCH showcase during the KIWW 2025 and/or the World Water Forum. Individuals or organizations are welcome to participate. Campus France — Program SIAM 2026

France and Thailand administer SIAM to promote French-Thai research collaboration in subject areas that include energy, ecology and biodiversity, agriculture, and others. SIAM is a program of mobility grants to cover air transportation and related travel expenses up to a maximum of €12 thousand. Project proposals must be presented by at least one Thai partner and one French partner. The active participation of young researchers (doctoral and postdoctoral students) is a priority assessment criteria. The application deadline is 31 July 2025. Find details

World Academy of Sciences — Postgraduate Fellowship Program

TWAS offers a postdoctoral fellowship program for young scientists from developing countries (other than Pakistan) who wish to pursue postdoctoral research in physical sciences in departments and laboratories of the National Centre for Physics (NCP) in Islamabad. NCP will provide a monthly stipend which should be used to cover living costs such as food, accommodation and health insurance. Applicants for these fellowships must be permanent residents in a developing country and hold a PhD degree in a field of natural sciences. The application deadline is 31 July 2025. Know more

School of International Futures — Next Generation Foresight Fellowship

The Next Generation Foresight Fellowship is an opportunity for young professionals to have more support as they begin to explore the futures and foresight field. Each fellow receives a US$1,000 prize to develop and accelerate their project. By the end of their fellowship, all fellows have the chance to run for the Fellowship Main Prize, which consists of US$10 thousand. The fellowship is open to anyone aged between 18 and 35. American Association for the Advancement of Science — Science and SciLifeLab Prize for Young Scientists 2025

The Prize is awarded to a young scientist for outstanding life science research for which he/she was awarded a doctoral degree. The awards are made in four fields of life science research, one of which is Ecology and Environment. Eligible entrants for the 2025 Prize must have been awarded their doctoral degrees in 2023 or 2024. Partnership for Research and Innovation in the Mediterranean Area — Multitopic Research and Innovation Action

The Partnership for Research and Innovation in the Mediterranean Area (PRIMA) supports projects under the following topics: (1) Water Management, (2) Farming Systems, (3) and Agri-food Value Chain. Water projects should focus on alleviating Mediterranean water scarcity through adaptive water governance. Farming projects need to demonstrate field practices based on agroecological practices to increase ecosystem services and biodiversity, adapt the small farming systems to climate change, and to increase farmers’ incomes. Companies/enterprises, non-profit organizations, NGOs, public research organizations, and universities from the following non-EU countries are eligible: Israel, Tunisia, Turkey, Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon and Morocco.
