Climate Action Champions Network — Young Climate Leaders

The Climate Action Champions Network seeks young climate leaders from India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bhutan. The objective of the program is to inspire the South Asian young leaders to champion an ambitious climate action agenda in their respective countries and in the wider Indo-Pacific region. Prospective climate champions between the ages of 18 and 35, who are passionate about climate action, are encouraged to apply. The deadline for submitting applications is 15 July 2022. Know more

Aspire Coronation Trust Foundation — Development Grants for Africa

The Aspire Coronation Trust (ACT) Foundation makes grants to local, national and regional organizations working to address challenges across the African continent. The Changemakers Innovation Challenge is open to non-profits and social enterprises who are using various technological tools to create innovative social solutions. Organizations must submit social solutions within the key focus areas: Health, Entrepreneurship, Environment or Leadership. Three winners will split the award of ₦15 million. Climate Investment Funds — Nature-based Solutions

The Climate Investment Funds (CIF) finances Nature-based solutions that recognize the interdependence between land use, climate change mitigation and adaptation, and improve the sources of livelihoods of rural communities and Indigenous Peoples. CIF launches the selection process for identifying countries that will receive funding under the Nature, People and Climate Investment program. The Program will allow potential allocation per investment plan of up to approximately US$50 million. Countries that are eligible for Official Development Assistance can apply. European Commission — Promoting Green Growth in Nepal

The European Commission (EC) seeks to support civil society organizations’ ability to engage as actors promoting green growth and good governance. EC will fund projects that promote a just transition to a climate-neutral, resource-efficient and circular economy, and prevent biodiversity loss through the protection, restoration and promotion of sustainable use of ecosystems. Applicants can request up to €1.4 million in funding. Eligibility extends to non-profit organizations legally established in Nepal or Member States of the European Union. Embassy of France in New Zealand — Pacific Fund 2022

The Embassy of France in New Zealand seeks projects that contribute to economic, social, cultural and scientific cooperation with New Caledonia, French Polynesia, Wallis and Futuna. Projects must fall under at least one of the following categories: fight against climate change and risk management for natural disasters; economic and industrial projects (feasibility study, training actions, etc.); food security (e.g., fishery management, etc.). Projects must be jointly financed for at least 50% of the total project budget. Projects have to be submitted by a New Zealand partner and must involve at least one local project partner. Prince Albert II Foundation — Strengthen Arctic and Antarctic Marine Protected Areas

The Prince Albert II Foundation accepts applications to strengthen Arctic and Antarctic marine protected areas. The Foundation seeks to better understand climate-induced changes and how these changes affect the global social, economic and environmental systems and double the efforts to protect these fragile ecosystems. Project proposals must focus on the Arctic and Antarctic marine region. Any financial support requested should not exceed 50% of the total project budget. Prince Albert II Foundation — Biodiversity, Ocean, Climate

The Prince Albert II Foundation calls for projects on the implementation of nature-based solutions that promote coastal resilience to climate change and biodiversity loss. Priority geographic areas under this call are the Mediterranean region, Polar regions, and Least Developed Countries. Any financial support requested should not exceed 50% of the total project budget. Jackson Wild — Fellowship for Storytellers

​The Jackson Wild Summit Fellowship is a comprehensive program for storytellers to accelerate their project in development through a series of skill-building workshops, networking events, pitching opportunities and mentorship in Austria (September/October 2022). Projects must include a visual media component and can consist of a wide range of topics including but not limited to environmental justice, climate change, conservation, human-wildlife conflict, etc. The Fellowship is open to all storytellers from around the world. Greater Mekong Subregion Secretariat — Climate Change and Environmental Sustainability

The Greater Mekong Subregion Secretariat invites applications to the Climate Change and Environmental Sustainability Program (CCESP). The program’s six priority themes are climate and disaster resilience, low-carbon transitions, climate-smart landscapes, environmental quality through pollution control and sustainable waste management, digital technology for climate actions and environmental sustainability, and financing low-carbon and climate-resilient infrastructure and technology. The program plans to have 27 demonstrations. Each demonstration project will have a budget of US$40 thousand. The proposals can be developed and submitted by government departments and agencies, civil society organizations and community-based organizations, private sector, as well as academia and research institutes. Sankalp Global Summit — Global Awards 2022

The Sankalp Awards celebrate social entrepreneurs who are making a positive impact on society by creating innovative solutions with a global community. The Award recognizes the work of entrepreneurs who have been building an enabling ecosystem which provides the right resources and environment for entrepreneurs to thrive in. Applicants must run a high-impact business that caters to rural, low-income, or disadvantaged communities. Areas of impact include Agriculture, WASH, Clean Energy and Climate Solutions, among others.
