The Johnson & Johnson Scholars Award Program supports female STEM2D leaders (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, Manufacturing and Design). The Scholar Award is paid to the university of the recipient in support of her studies and research. Applicants must be assistant female professors or have a global equivalent faculty position at an accredited academic university, institution or design school. The African Postdoctoral Training Initiative (APTI) supports early-career African scientists who wish to become scientific leaders in their community. APTI makes 4-year postdoctoral fellowships where Fellows are placed in various laboratories for 2 years before returning to their home institutions in Africa for another 2 years of research. Applicants must be citizens of an African country and currently employed in an academic, research, or government position. The fellowship provides salary support of up to US$38 per year, research support of up to US$50 thousand per year, and equipment purchase support of up to US$50 thousand. OYSTER is an independent working group dedicated to promoting and supporting opportunities for young researchers in marine science. EuroMarine offers a grant of €7,500 to early-career researchers from EuroMarine full member organizations to undertake an original and collaborative research project. The Commonwealth Youth Awards for Excellence in Development Work recognize individuals ages 15 to 29 who lead innovative development projects in themes that include agriculture, small enterprise, skills training, climate change, environmental protection, sustainable livelihoods, and poverty reduction. The program selects regional winners from each of Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, and the Pacific. Winners are awarded grants of up to a total of £5 thousand in total to advance their projects. The Graduate Degree Fellowship provides funding for graduate students from Asia, the Pacific, and the United States to participate in capacity building and leadership development programs at the East-West Center while pursuing graduate study at the University of Hawai‘i. The fellowship covers the cost of tuition and fees, books, and housing. Eligibility extends to citizens or permanent residents of the United States, Asia, and countries in the Pacific region (including Russia). MDPI, a publisher of peer-reviewed, open access journals, invites nominations for the Water 2023 Young Investigator Award. The winner will receive CHF 2000. This prize will be given to two young investigators in recognition of their excellence in the field of all aspects of water, including water science, technology, management, and governance. Research institutions can receive funding of up to €100 thousand for capacity building activities in support of young researchers. Eligibility extends to francophone African research institutions on national and regional public policies in the political, social and economic fields. The Takagi Fund for Citizen Science invites grant applications from groups and individuals in Asia pursuing “Citizen Science”. Research Grants may cover research and travel expenses, printing, as well as workshops or symposia to communicate research findings to the public. Training Grants are to support an individual receiving training at educational institutions, NGOs, research institutes and can be used to cover travel, accommodation, tuition or related costs. Finduddannelse.dk is a Danish platform for lifelong learning. The platform offers a scholarship to a student for masters studies. The applicant must have been accepted to a masters program and aim to make the world more sustainable through their studies , for example, through clean energy, biology, sustainable agriculture, or any other relevant field. The scholarship offers up to €5000 to help cover tuition fees. Applicants from all around the world are welcome, however, candidates must be fluent in English or Danish. The SDG Challenge invites research teams to develop innovative solutions relating to challenges associated with climate, biodiversity and the environment. Funding is available for collaborative research teams based in Ireland and Irish Aid partner countries (South Africa, Ethiopia, Malawi, Uganda, Vietnam, Tanzania, Zambia, Mozambique and Sierra Leone).
