Interreg Baltic Sea Region financially supports frameworks for cooperation of core partners of projects funded by Interreg Baltic Sea Region. Project platforms must be in line with the thematic priorities of the Programme: (1) Innovation, (2) Natural Resources, (3) Transport. The Programme area covers eight EU Member States (Denmark, Estonia, Finland, parts of Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Sweden) and three partner countries (Belarus, Norway and parts of Russia). World Oceans Day — Become a Young Ocean Leader
The World Oceans Day Youth Advisory Council needs 15 new young ocean leaders from around the world. The Council works closely with The Ocean Project and its global partner network to help shape the development of World Oceans Day. Members will develop projects and help to shape the World Oceans Day. United Nations Development Programme — Ecosystem Challenge for young African Entrepreneurs
The purpose of the ecosystem challenge is to seed youth entrepreneurship focused activities through provision of catalytic grant capital of US$10 thousand. Proposed projects should provide an innovative solution to development challenges facing the youth in Africa. Thematic areas may include one or multiple categories of the Terra Viva Grants Directory. Disney Conservation Fund — Annual Conservation Grants 2019
The Disney Conservation Fund makes grants for wildlife studies, habitat protection, and community conservation and education in critical ecosystems around the world. DCF supports projects that build on previous work, and that have the potential to contribute to long-term conservation. Eligibility extends to U.S. nonprofit organizations. Applicants from other countries need to apply in collaboration with U.S. nonprofit partners. Grants are up to US$50 thousand for projects of up to two years. World Bank and RUFORUM — Strengthening Higher Agricultural Education in Africa
The World Bank and the Regional Universities Forum for Capacity Building in Agriculture (RUFORUM) jointly launch a Call for Proposals for a regional project for Strengthening Higher Agricultural Education for Agri-food Systems Transformation in Africa (SHAEA). The Project will support the governments of participating African countries to collectively build capacity and knowledge in selected key areas. Universities from Kenya, Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, Malawi, Mozambique are eligible to apply if they meet the criteria detailed in the call for proposals. Australia Awards funds qualified African candidates for masters studies in Australia in priority subjects that include agriculture; extractives; climate change; environmental management; water management; and others. The Technical Centre for Agricultural and Rural Cooperation (CTA) calls for the digital registration of women-owned agribusinesses in Eastern and Southern Africa to create a agribusiness intelligence network targeting women agri-entrepreneurs. The programme initiative named VALUE4HER aims to increase incomes for women through access to markets, finance, improving knowledge and capacity. Registered agribusinesses will be eligible for management and leadership training and have a chance to apply for a competitive grant. Women-owned agribusinesses in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, Ethiopia, Eritrea, South Sudan, Djibouti, Somalia, South Africa, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Botswana, Mozambique, Lesotho, Namibia, Angola, and Swaziland are eligible. Interdisciplinary Centre for Conservation Science — Biodiversity Fellows Programme
The ICCS Biodiversity Fellows Programme offers participants the chance to spend up to three months at the University of Oxford, writing papers, developing ideas or writing grant proposals. ICCS will cover expenses related to travel, accommodation and training events for the duration of the programme. The Fellowships are for people working for NGOs, government institutions, or in the business environment. Applications from developing country nationals are particularly welcome. Coady International Institute — Women’s Leadership 2019
The Global Change Leaders Program is a seven-week education program to enable women from developing countries to strengthen their leadership capacities at the Coady Institute, affiliated with St Francis Xavier University in Canada. The program offers successful candidates a full scholarship that includes tuition, travel, accommodations, and meals.
