U.S. Department of State — Combating Wildlife Trafficking in the Dominican Republic

The United States Agency for International Development seeks applications from qualified entities to implement the “Combating Wildlife Trafficking” program. USAID aims to reduce threats to biodiversity in the Caribbean region by reducing the illegal collection and poaching of wildlife for international trade related to demand for pets or collections, food, medicines, jewelry and crafts. U. S. Department of Agriculture — International Agricultural Education Fellowship Program

The International Agricultural Education Fellowship Program (IAEFP) provides opportunities to U.S. citizens to assist developing countries in establishing school-based agricultural education and youth extension programs. Topics should promote bilateral agricultural trade and address priorities on climate smart agricultural practices. USDA anticipates issuing up to 2 awards. Each award is expected to support up to nine fellows. Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in an agriculture-related field and understand U.S. school-based agricultural education. University of Science and Technology of Hanoi — Masters Studies 2022-2023

The University of Science and Technology of Hanoi offers Bachelor, Master, and PhD programs in subject areas that include energy; water, environment, oceanography; and several others. Eligibility to apply extends to Vietnamese and international students graduated from relevant training fields in or before 2022, with good academic results and ability in English. For highly qualified applicants, merit-based scholarships and/or need-based fellowships cover up to 100% of tuition fees and living expenses. Mitsubishi Corporation — Decarbonize

Mitsubishi Corporation and NYK Line seek startups for a startup bootcamp with focus on the clean energy transition and sustainability through decarbonization. The program aims to scout and support promising startups with disruptive technologies and business ideas to solve problems in the energy and resource sectors. During the 3-month accelerator program, selected startups receive hands-on mentorship, seed funding and access to a global network of investors with the ultimate goal of scaling their businesses. SEED — Starter Workshop for Eco-Enterprises in Botswana

SEED offers valuable resources and professional support to expand entrepreneurial ideas while learning from peers during interactive SEED Starter workshops. SEED Starter workshops consist of a team of 2-5 members that bring in a business idea for addressing environmental, social and economic challenges. Successful alumni are invited to apply for a SEED Grant for up to €1,000 which pays for resources required to establish the new enterprise. Amani Institute — Social Innovation Management

The Amani Institute offers a post-graduate certificate in social innovation management that emphasizes leadership, communication, entrepreneurship and management, and creativity and problem solving. Fellows will participate in a 3-month Immersion phase in Nairobi (Kenya). Fellows represent a diversity of fields contributing to sustainable development, including themes related to the environment. Amani offers discounted tuition plus a limited number of tuition scholarships (but excluding airfare and housing) in cases of extreme need. The application deadline for scholarships is 06 May 2022. Atlas Corps seeks global professionals with experience in climate change and environmental issues to apply for the Atlas Corps Fellowship. Fellows will serve full-time at U.S.-based organizations and help the world progress towards the achievement of sustainable development. The World Academy of Sciences — Workshop on Science Diplomacy

The American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) and the World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) seek candidates to participate in the training workshop on science diplomacy in Trieste (Italy, July/August 2022). The workshop is designed for young scientists (below the age of 40) living, policymakers and diplomats, research institution administrators and research funders, and representatives from NGOs working at the science-diplomacy interface. BeyGOOD — Global Citizen Fellowship Program for Youth

The Global Citizen Fellowship Program supports a total of 15 young changemakers from South Africa, Nigeria and Kenya who fight extreme poverty and inequality in their communities. Fellows will go through a multi-phase curriculum, specifically designed to equip them with the skills and tools they need in any future professional environment. Fellows will learn how to use digital technology for social change, storytelling tactics to shift attitudes, and build lasting professional relationships. Earth Journalism Network — Introductory Biodiversity Course for Journalists

The Earth Journalism Network (EJN) launches an introductory biodiversity course for journalists – “From Microbes to Rainforests”. The online course is self-paced and designed to help journalists reporting on biodiversity to better understand the most pressing issues, from conservation to climate change to synthetic biology.
