The Swedish Research Links Program funds research cooperation between scientists in Sweden and scientists in selected low and middle-income countries. Past grants have funded research to address water pollution; control of agricultural diseases and post-harvest losses; livestock introductions; management of protected areas; and various other topics related to agriculture and natural resources. COST Action MOBILISE — Short-Term Scientific Missions
Short-Term Scientific Missions (STSMs) are exchange visits between researchers involved in a COST Action allowing scientists to visit an institution or laboratory with the aim of building a cooperative network to support research for biodiversity informatics. STSMs support scientific exchange visits with a duration of between 7-14 days with funding of up to a maximum of €3,500. Financial support is limited to cover travel, accommodation and meal expenses. Applicants must be PhD students or postdoctoral fellows at an institution, organization or legal entity from a COST member or near neighbor country. European Commission — Civil Society Development in Belarus
The European Commission (EC) aims to promote capacity development of local civil society in Belarus in promoting green growth and climate change mitigation measures. Projects may request between €300 thousand and €500 thousand in project funding. Eligibility extends to non-profit organizations established in the European Union or Belarus. 100,000 Strong in the Americas — Higher Education Partnerships
The 100,000 Strong in the Americas Innovation Fund is designed to create and foster partnerships between higher education institutions (HEIs) in the Americas and the United States to provide new student exchange and training programs. The Fund makes grants of US$25 thousand to support higher education partnerships between the United States and higher education institutions in Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Panama, Belize, the Dominican Republic. Eurasia Foundation — Partnership Projects Competition
Eurasia Foundation’s US-Russia Social Expertise Exchange Program (SEE) invites organizations in the United States and Russia to submit proposals for collaborative projects. Projects must address one or more of SEE’s five thematic areas: Arctic and environmental conservation, Indigenous peoples’ empowerment, Disability and inclusion, Public health, or Open Thematic Area. All projects must include one U.S.-based partner and one Russia-based partner as implementing organizations. The U.S. Mission to Kazakhstan invites applications for the Small Grants Program. Priority focus will be given to projects that focus on countering human trafficking, addressing air quality, and promoting renewable energy. Inter-American Development Bank — Venture Capital Fund
Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) seeks to impact development and support social inclusion with a special focus on poor and vulnerable populations across Latin America and the Caribbean through bridging grants and investments in early-stage entrepreneurs. IDB Lab invites investment management firms to apply for VC funds. Fund managers who wish to participate in the selection process must primarily invest in nascent or emerging early-stage ecosystems in LAC and specialize in high-impact investments and sectors with pronounced structural capital gaps, such as Health/Biotech, Edtech/Workertech, Agtech/Foodtech and Climatetech. European Commission — Climate for Cities
The European Union aims to support Southern Neighborhood cities in their energy and climate transition. Therefore, the European Commission calls for proposals that foster local integrated approaches that ultimately improve societal cohesion locally. Proposals should include a coherent package of activities that encompasses a combination of environmentally sound infrastructure components as well as capacity building and awareness raising activities. Grant funding ranges from €2,5 million to €3,5 million. Please be aware that the EU will not cover more than 30% of the infrastructure component of the project. In order to be eligible for a grant, the lead applicant must be a nonprofit making local authority, local public education, academic or research organization in Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Palestine, Syria, or Tunisia. Government of India — Indo-Italian Joint Research Program
The Governments of India and Italy invite joint research projects by researchers of both countries. The aim is to encourage scientific and technological cooperation between Italy and India. Proposals for joint research in the following scientific areas (relevant to TVG) are eligible: Ecological and Environmental Modeling; Water Management; and Disaster Risk Management. Dutch Research Council — Local Energy Systems
Samenwerking China (NSFC) and Dutch Research Council (NWO) invite researchers from knowledge institutions from The Netherlands and China to submit proposals for research on the transition towards sustainable and social local energy districts. The call focuses on sustainable urbanisation and the transition to sustainable energy at the local level. Eligibility extends to research consortia composed of researchers based in The Netherlands and in China.
