CCP Synergy is aimed at employees from two organizations who are planning a joint initiative. The purpose of such a collaboration could be, for example, the planning and implementation of joint events, fact-finding missions, research or artistic undertaking in the fields of sustainable development or climate justice. Partnership for Research and Innovation in the Mediterranean Area — Water-Energy-Ecosystem-Food Nexus
The Partnership for Research and Innovation in the Mediterranean Area (PRIMA) aims to leverage knowledge on the Nexus management of Water-Energy-Food-Ecosystems resources in the Mediterranean region. PRIMA seeks concepts and practical solutions that address the interdependency of food, water and energy securities by analyzing trade-offs and synergies between sectors and potential impact on social stability due to resource shortages and climate change. Projects can request up to €3.1 million for a period of 36 months. Companies/enterprises, non-profit organizations, NGOs, public research organizations, and universities from the following non-EU countries are eligible: Israel, Tunisia, Turkey, Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon and Morocco. IMMANA — Career Development Fellowships
Innovative Methods and Metrics for Agriculture and Nutrition Actions (IMMANA) is a research initiative with the aim to stimulate the development of innovative methodological approaches in agriculture and food systems for improved health and nutrition. IMMANA awards post-doctoral fellowships to emerging leaders who are applying and/or validating new methodological approaches in ongoing research programs in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). The fellowship includes a research stipend, a travel allowance, and an honorarium for mentors. Fellows conduct their research in Africa or Asia under the joint supervision of two mentors. Netherlands Enterprise Agency — Energy Transition Facility
The Energy Transition Facility (ETF) aims to support countries in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA region) with their transition to a more sustainable energy supply. National governments can request advice and the Netherlands Enterprise Agency will decide how to best support the proposal, plan or idea. Proposals and requests for government-to-government collaboration can be submitted by governments and government partners in Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Mozambique, the Palestinian Territories, Tanzania, and Tunisia. UNICEF Venture Fund — Climate Tech Solutions
The UNICEF Venture Fund provides up to US$100 thousand in equity-free investments to provide seed funding to for-profit technology start-ups developing software solutions using frontier technologies for climate action. ‘Changemakers for the Planet’ supports the work of young changemakers, activists and innovators from all regions of the world who address the planetary crisis, such as climate change, biodiversity loss, and pollution. The Flemish Inter-University Council (VLIR-UOS) invites applications for Short Initiative projects that aim to build and deepen academic/scientific collaborations among diverse teams of academics and researchers. The objective is to strengthen research and educational capacities of higher education and science institutions in partner countries in Latin America, Africa and Southeastern Asia. Earth Journalism Network (EJN) offers reporting grants to journalists from Morocco interested in developing in-depth stories exposing the scale of unsustainable marine management and biodiversity loss in the Mediterranean Sea. ENJ expects to make 5 awards of €500 each. Applicants can be from all countries that border the Mediterranean Sea. Applicants must be based in Morocco. Applications are open to journalists working in any medium (online, print, television, radio) and other expert media practitioners with professional reporting experience. In partnership with the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), TWAS invites early-career researchers from 21 Least Developed Member Countries to apply to the IsDB-TWAS Postdoctoral Fellowship Program. The fellowship will support research related to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, providing recipients with high-level training in areas relevant to sustainability science.
