Participants are invited to submit real pictures showing their development project and progress in local communities around the world. Cartier Women’s Initiative Awards — Edition 2021
Cartier supports women entrepreneurs who lead social enterprises in their early phases that have potential to grow significantly. Cartier reviews applications from Latin America, North America, Europe, Sub-Saharan Africa, the Middle East & North Africa, and the Asia-Pacific region. Previous laureates have included several whose work links to environment and related issues, e.g., product recycling, low-cost energy, water treatment, fair trade, and others. ENI CBC Med — Call for Capitalization Projects
The Mediterranean Sea Basin Program is a cross-border cooperation initiative implemented by the EU and neighboring coastal territories. The ENI CBC Med finances cooperation projects with focus on biodiversity conservation, climate change, and pollution for a more sustainable Mediterranean area. ENI CBC Med accepts applications for capitalization projects in the following priority areas: Water Management, Waste Treatment and Recycling, Renewable Energy, Integrated Coastal Zone Management. Climate Tracker — Southeast Asia Media Research Analysis
Climate Tracker seeks people with media experience to co-design a regional media analysis of Coal across Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand, and the Philippines. Participants will undergo two weeks of online training and personal mentorship before starting the project. Winners will earn a monthly salary of up to US$400 and get published on a co-authored book about the media landscape of coal coverage. British Council — Newton Fund Institutional Links with Mexico
The Newton Institutional Links provides grants for research and innovation collaboration between the UK and Mexico. Subject areas for the collaborative research include local development challenges such as extreme weather conditions, access to affordable health care, food and energy security, among others. Proposals are submitted jointly by a principal investigator in the UK with a principal investigator in Mexico. Grants range from £50 thousand to £300 thousand over two years. UK Aid Direct funds projects addressing urban poverty. Actions under this call within the scope of the Terra Viva Grants Directory may focus on sustainable agriculture, water resources, and energy access, among others. Grants between £250 thousand and £4 million are available for projects lasting between 3-5 years. Organizations must provide 25% of the funds per project as match funding. Impact grants are to small- and medium-sized non-profit organizations registered in the UK or in a developing country (full list in the announcement). European Union and the Government of India — India-EU Joint Call on Integrated Local Energy Systems
The EU-India Clean Energy and Climate Partnership seeks to strengthen international cooperation in renewable energy research and innovation. Proposals should develop and demonstrate novel energy solutions for higher energy efficiency. The project must be carried out by a consortium of at least three organizations from India and three entities from Europe. DG Trésor — Innovative Solutions for the Reduction of Waste
DG Trésor invites companies to submit innovative ideas and project proposals for innovative solutions for the reduction and recovery of waste in the developing world. Up to 12 selected French SMEs and start-ups will receive up to €500 thousand to implement their project idea. Proposed projects can fall within the areas of general waste management, environmental management, energy recovery from waste, or agricultural waste management, among others. Projects have to be implemented in partnership with local partners from developing countries. Proposals have to be submitted by 01 October 2020. Find out more
