WYSE International — SDG Program for Young Leaders

WYSE International seeks applications for the “Global Change Makers: Leadership Coaching for the Sustainable Development Goals” opportunity. Successful applicants will participate in a free year-long coaching program with leadership professionals. WYSE International accepts applications for projects which support the following Sustainable Development Goals: Clean Water and Sanitation, Affordable and Clean Energy, and Climate Action, among others. European Commission — Green Economy in Jordan

The European Commission (EC) seeks to contribute to the development of a green, environmentally sustainable economy in Jordan. The EC will fund projects that focus on enhanced coordination and sustainable resource management in the energy, water and agriculture sectors. Any grant requested under this call for proposals must fall between €1 million and €1.25 million. Eligibility extends to non-profit organizations established in a Member State of the European Union or in Jordan. The deadline for submission of applications is 18 August 2022. Link

U.S. Agency for International Development — Biodiversity for Resilience Activity Uganda

The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) seeks Expressions of Interest for the pre-selection of local partners for the USAID/Uganda Biodiversity for Resilience (B4R) Activity in Uganda. The (B4R) Activity will provide direct financial support in the form of sub-awards to private sector and other community-based enterprises with the aim to conserve and manage biodiversity in target ecosystems. Awards range from US$50 thousand to US$250 thousand per project for a period of 12 months. Target sectors include climate-smart, organic and/or restorative Agriculture, Eco-Tourism, Forestry, wildlife-based Enterprises, renewable Energy, and Aquaculture. TED — Fellows Program for Extraordinary Thinkers and Doers

The TED Fellows Program provides transformational support to an international community of visionaries who collaborate across disciplines (many within the thematic fields of the Terra Viva Grants Directory) to create positive change around the world. TED Fellows are chosen based on remarkable achievement, character, and their innovative approach to solving the world’s tough problems. Selected fellows participate in professional training and mentoring with public relations experts, and attend regional meet-ups and retreats for conservation and exchange of ideas. TED pays for economy airfare, transportation, meals and shared accommodation on site. Applications are due by 30 June 2022. TED Fellows Program

ASEAN Centre for Energy — ASEAN Energy Youth Awards 2022

The ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE) announces the ASEAN Energy Youth Awards (AEYA) in recognition of young students’ valuable contribution to sustainable development and energy transition. The theme of the 3rd award is “Accelerating Energy Transition towards Economic Recovery and Sustainable Growth.” The winners and runners-up will be invited to the 40th of ASEAN Ministers on Energy Meeting in September 2022 and receive small cash prizes. The awards are open to enrolled high school and university/college students from ASEAN countries. The submission deadline of entries is 15 July 2022. ASEAN Energy Youth Awards

U.S. Mission to Rwanda — Funding for Community Organizations

The Ambassador’s Special Self-Help (SSH) Program is a grants program that seeks to reduce poverty and hunger in sub-Saharan Africa. SSH announces an open competition for organizations in Rwanda to submit applications to carry out a small, community-based development program. Funding aims at assisting community groups to develop lasting, self-sustaining projects with focus on development concerns, including sustainable agriculture, renewable energy, and access to clean water and sanitation. SDG Academy — Free Online Courses on Sustainable Development

The SDG Academy (edX) offers graduate-level courses on sustainable development for participants around the world. Thematic areas range from sustainable cities to sustainable food systems to climate action. SDG Academy courses can be audited for free or participants can choose to receive a Verified Certificate for a small fee. The Academy offers financial assistance for learners who want to earn Verified Certificates but who may not be able to afford the fee. All courses are interactive and self-paced. Asia Pacific Forum on Women, Law and Development — Sustainable Development Goals Monitoring

The Asia Pacific Forum on Women, Law and Development (APWLD) invites women’s rights and feminist organizations to apply for sub-grants. APWLD will support up to 8 organizations to do monitoring of the SDGs implementation in their country. The aim is to develop the capacity of feminist movements and women’s rights organizations to conduct evidence-based advocacy for the monitoring and review of the Sustainable Development Goals. APWLD will provide each partner organization with a sub-grant of between US$15 thousand to US$18 thousand. Applicants should be non-profit women’s rights and/or women-led organizations from countries in the Asia Pacific region. Interested organizations should submit their application before 07 June 2022. Slovak Republic — Small Grants for Projects in the Ukraine

SlovakAid supports small-scale projects in various sectors, including the sustainable use of natural resources. This includes projects with focus on drinking water supply, wastewater treatment, raising environmental awareness, alternative energy sources, increasing resilience to natural disasters, including climate change, soil protection, halting the loss of biodiversity, protecting ecosystems, and restoring degraded ecosystems. The current call supports local projects in the Ukraine in accordance with the Strategy of the Slovak Republic for International Development Cooperation. The maximum financial support per project is €10 thousand with a maximum project duration of 6-12 months. Eligibility extends to non-profit organizations and local authorities in the Ukraine. 100,000 Strong in the Americas — U.S.-Andean Innovation Fund Grant

The US-Andean Innovation Fund Competition is designed to create and foster partnerships between higher education (HEIs) in Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, and Bolivia and the United States that provide new student exchange and training programs in the academic themes of Environment & Climate Solutions, Food & Agricultural Sciences, Biotechnology, Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) and others. The Innovation Fund intends to award up to six grants of US$36 thousand. Higher education institutions in Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, and Bolivia and the United States are eligible to apply.
