United States Agency for International Development — Small Town Sanitation

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) seeks applications for a cooperative agreement to implement the USAID/Mozambique Small Town Sanitation program. USAID aims to support the development of the WASH sector by implementing multiple activities focused on WASH governance and services in small towns. The applicant should implement activities that increase women’s leadership within the sector. USAID intends to provide US$14,4 million in total funding over a 4 year period. CRDF Global — Biological Supply Chains

CRDF Global awards grants to selected applicants from Eastern Europe to support training on securing biological supply chains through updated best practices. These grants are a one-time award of up to US$10 thousand. Only applications from Estonia, Hungary, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, and Ukraine are eligible. VivaTech — Sustainability Innovations Challenge

VivaTech seeks unique startups with innovative products, solutions and technologies that demonstrate a concrete and positive innovation for the planet. Solutions must address energy challenges, smart farming, biodiversity & conservation, clean air, or green digital solutions. Selected startups get a chance to be featured in digital showrooms. GroFin — Funding for Small and Growing Businesses in Africa

GroFin funds small and growing businesses in Africa. Grants support start-ups and growing businesses in agriculture, fisheries, energy and water sectors. Small business owners can apply for financing between US$100 thousand and US$1.5 million. Businesses that operate in Nigeria, Ghana, Senegal, Ivory Coast, Egypt, South Africa, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and Uganda are eligible to apply. The application deadline is 31 December 2022. WIN WIN Gothenburg Sustainability Award — Award in Sustainable Aquaculture

WIN WIN Gothenburg Sustainability Award invites nominations to recognize aquaculture initiatives from around the world that could contribute to increase efficiency and sustainability. The nominees will have created change that inspires others and shown what measures are necessary. Any organization, movement, business, group of people or individual can be nominated. One Young World — Afri-Plastics Challenge

One Young World seeks applications for Afri-Plastics Challenge. The challenge supports the development of early-stage products, technology and/or services that encourage the reduction or elimination of plastic usage across Sub-Saharan Africa. 10 selected finalists will receive a grant of £75 thousand to support in the development and validation of their solutions. Applicants can be formally constituted and operating in Sub-Saharan Africa as either a registered business or NGO, but applications from individuals and community groups will also be accepted. GSMA — Innovation Fund for Climate Resilience and Adaptation

GSMA Innovation Fund for Climate Resilience and Adaptation seeks to help accelerate the testing, adoption and scalability of digital innovations that enable the world’s most vulnerable populations to adapt to the negative impacts of climate change. GSMA aims to test innovations that can increase the capacity of low-income and vulnerable communities to adapt, and develop approaches or business models that can be scaled to build climate resilience and adaptation. Successful projects will receive an equity-free grant of between £100 thousand and £250 thousand to scale their innovation over a 15 to 18 month period. Start-ups, small and medium enterprises and social enterprises in Africa, Asia-Pacific, the Caribbean, Latin America and Eastern Europe are eligible to apply. Applications close on 09 January 2022. Conservation Finance Alliance — Conservation Finance Solutions

The Conservation Finance Alliance (CFA) Incubator seeks to support innovative ideas and solutions to conservation finance challenges that have significant positive conservation impacts. CFA will identify and support five projects in conservation finance, including ventures that can generate a financial return and conservation finance concepts. The size of the grant is US$20 thousand. The CFA is focused on high biodiversity areas, especially Africa, but proposals are not restricted to any specific geographical region. European Institute of Innovation and Technology — Bauhaus Climate Acceleration Program

The New European Bauhaus Climate Acceleration Program provides support to the most promising climate and sustainability ventures. The program seeks to support green transition in cities through architectural, cultural, and historic sites, for example, natural building materials and energy efficiency, sustainable alternatives for hardscapes as urban spaces, or urban farming and regenerative agriculture to reduce emissions. Four companies will each receive a € 25 thousand prize to accelerate their growth and a tailored package of supporting services. Eligibility extends to early-stage startups developing scalable solutions with high potential to make an impact on climate issues. Applications have to be submitted by 17 December 2021. U.S. Agency for International Development — Market Based Resilience for Marginalized Populations

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) seeks applications for a cooperative agreement from qualified organizations to implement Somalia’s Market Based Resilience for Marginalized Populations (MB-RMP) Activity. USAID intends to make one award of US$ 6.5 million to accelerate economic development of marginalized groups through rural and urban livelihood diversification. Eligibility is unrestricted. Applications are accepted from foreign and domestic non-profit organizations, for-profit companies, academic institutions as well as regional organizations and community groups.
