StartupXs — Seed Grant for Social Enterprises

StartupXs invites applications for the 2024 ChangeMakers Seed Funding competition. The competition is open to startups and social enterprises who want to change their community with their innovative business idea. The winner will receive a US$1500 seed grant. Participation is open to any individual (18 and 35 years) or organization in any country. Priority is given to early-stage startups working on an innovative product or idea. UN Global Compact — Young SDG Innovators Program

The Young SDG Innovators Program is an accelerator program for future business leaders and changemakers to develop and drive innovative SDG solutions through new technologies, initiatives, and business models. Participants participate in online and in-person workshops, case studies, company visits and forum discussions. Companies based in Brazil, China, Kenya, Mexico, South Africa, Ukraine, United Kingdom or the United States have the opportunity to collaborate with their Global Compact Local Networks to nominate young professionals for the program. MDPI — Remote Sensing Young Investigator Award 2024

MDPI, a publisher of peer-reviewed, open access journals, invites nominations for the Remote Sensing 2024 Young Investigator Award. The winner will receive CHF2000. This prize will be given to one young investigator in recognition of their contribution to the advancement of remote sensing science or applications. MDPI — Remote Sensing Travel Award 2024

MDPI, a publisher of peer-reviewed, open access journals, invites applications for the 2024 Remote Sensing Travel Awards. Remote Sensing will make two awards of CHF800 each to two selected PhD students to present an oral presentation and/or poster at an international conference in 2024. Applicants must be postdoctoral researchers or Ph.D. students working in the field of remote sensing or related areas. Applications have to be submitted by 30 November 2023. Click here

SEED — Replicator Workshop for Eco-Enterprises

The SEED Replicator program offers incubation workshops to identify opportunities for enterprise creation and to guide aspiring entrepreneurs and business owners looking for partnerships to build an eco-inclusive business model. Successful alumni can apply for a SEED Grant which pays for your immediate necessary activities, measures or machinery required to establish the new enterprise. SEED Replicator Program currently invites applications from entrepreneurs in India. Participation is free, although participants need to cover their transportation costs and accommodation. Netherlands Organization for International Cooperation in Higher Education — Orange Knowledge Program

The Orange Knowledge Program (OKP) makes scholarships to mid-career professionals from selected developing countries for short courses (duration 2 weeks to 12 months) and master’s programs (duration 12-24 months). Eligible countries as well as eligible courses are listed in the announcement. Interested applicants need to first select a course and then contact the education institution of the course and ask how to apply for the scholarship. The application deadline is 05 September 2023. ProposalsforNGOs, an initiative by FundsforNGOs, invites applications for the “Small Grant Competition” aimed at NGOs around the world. The contest aims to help grassroots NGOs to develop a project idea to reality by submitting a one-page concept note. The winner will be awarded US$1000. United Nations University — Research Fellowship in Biotechnology

United Nations University accepts applications for the Biotechnology Fellowship Program to build biotechnology capacities within Latin America and the Caribbean region. Each UNU-BIOLAC fellow is expected to perform specialized research at a laboratory in the LAC region for no more than three months. To perform their research fellowship, each funded fellow will receive a single stipend of US$4000 for travel and living expenses. OPEC Fund — Annual Award for Development

The OPEC Fund honors outstanding contributions to sustainable development. Each year, the annual award recognizes a different theme of particular relevance to global development. In 2023, the theme is “Gender Equality and Climate Action”. The prize is US$100 thousand. The nominee must be a charitable organization. Deadline to submit nominations is 12 May 2023. World Academy of Sciences — TWAS Arab Regional Award

The TWAS Regional Awards recognize individuals who have made significant contributions to popularize science, and have developed new strategies that serve the popularization of science and technology in developing countries. The winner will receive a US$3,000 cash award. Eligibility extends to Arab scientists with significant research achievements in the field of Science and Technology. Self nominations are not allowed.
