Earthna Center for a Sustainable Future — Prize for Environmental Stewardship

Earthna Center for a Sustainable Future (Earthna) seeks applications for the Earthna Prize aimed at celebrating and supporting projects that are working towards the preservation of ancestral knowledge and cultural heritage in addressing contemporary environmental challenges. The Prize will support work in the following areas: water resource management; food security; sustainable urbanism; and stewardship. European Commission — Agro-Forestry for Timor-Leste

The European Commission launches a call for proposals to promote green development and climate action in Timor-Leste. The objective of this call is to improve a climate change-resilient agro-forestry sector, contribute to the diversification of the Timorese economy, and increase food and income security. USAID — Afghanistan Integrated Youth Activity

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) seeks applications for a cooperative agreement from qualified entities to implement the Afghanistan Integrated Youth Activity (AIYA) program. AIYA aims to empower Afghan youth, particularly girls and young women, with market-relevant technical and soft skills to enhance income, food security, and economic resilience. The Hello Tomorrow Global Challenge seeks startups from all around the world that use advanced technology to answer societal or industrial challenges. The challenge includes one category for startups that focus on energy, food, agriculture & environment, among 10 others. Earth Institute — Post-Doctoral Fellowships 2025

The Earth Institute at Columbia University invites applications for 2-year postdoctoral fellowships that contribute to understanding critical scientific and social issues in global sustainable development. Specific areas of research include food security, energy systems, climate change, poverty reduction, disease, and environmental degradation. The multi-disciplinary program is open to U.S. and non-U.S. citizens who received their doctoral degrees within five years of beginning their appointments. The Canada Fund for Local Initiatives invites proposals that meet the needs of local communities in the Republic of Congo. The priorities under this call include women’s economic rights, decent jobs and entrepreneurship, and investing in the poorest and most vulnerable (which may include agriculture or aquaculture projects). The average contribution is C$20 thousand to C$30 thousand per project. Eligibility extends to local community organizations, non-profit organizations, and academic institutions. Building Resilience Against Climate and Environmental Shocks (BRACE) is a capacity development program supporting agripreneurs to be aware of how their businesses are affected by climate change and to enable them to develop strategies to adapt and mitigate the impact of climate change through climate-smart practices adoption. The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) seeks solutions in Rwanda that address food insecurity through strengthening food systems. The IGNITE Food Systems Challenge supports the scaling of innovative start-ups, small businesses, and cooperatives with commercially viable solutions to address gaps in the food system.
