Earth Journalism Network — Stop Spillover Media Grants
The Earth Journalism Network (EJN) offers grants to media organizations to support capacity-building activities for media and journalists related to understanding and preventing zoonotic viral spillover. EJN is particularly interested in projects that help journalists use data and the latest scientific research in their reporting. Applications are open to traditional news media, broadcast media, development media, new media and independent media outlets from the following countries: Liberia, Sierra Leone, Côte d’Ivoire, Bangladesh, Cambodia and Vietnam. The AgriPitch Competition is a two-week-long business development program on strategic partnerships for agriculture projects. Participating agripreneurs will receive follow-up mentorship and coaching for a period of six months. The program offers total grant funding of US$140 thousand. Yale University — Yale Young African Scholars 2023
Yale Young African Scholars (YYAS) offers an academic summer program for secondary school students from across Africa. The program offers online and in-person programs in four interdisciplinary sessions on Innovations in Science & Technology and Solving Global Challenges. Admitted participants will have access to pre-recorded videos before the start of the program and attend live sessions. There is no tuition cost to participate in the program.
