United Nations Academic Impact — Millennium Fellowship

The Millennium Fellowship is a semester-long leadership development program with access to training, connections, and recognition. The program will run on campuses worldwide from August to November where cohorts of 8-20 Millennium Fellows have been selected. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and be enrolled in a college or university. The Millennium Fellowship is open for undergraduate students only. Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation — Environmental Photography Award

The Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation (PA2F) Environmental Photography Award aims to reward photographers who put their creativity to good use in raising awareness on environmental protection. Photographers are invited to reflect on our relationship towards nature and interrelation between human health and planetary health. Images can be entered in 5 categories: Polar Wonders, Beneath the Canopy, Life under the Surface, Humanity versus Nature, and Towards a Sustainable Future. Tinker Foundation — Sustainable Resource Management in Latin America

Tinker’s program of Institutional Grants supports the theme of sustainable resource management (among others) in Latin America. Particular issues of interest include sustainable agriculture, sustainable forestry and non-timber forest products, sustainable tourism, fisheries management, and payment for environmental services. Tinker is also very interested in issues of water scarcity and quality for communities. Grants typically range from US$50 thousand to US$150 thousand. The Foundation encourages project collaboration among organizations in the USA and Latin America. Tinker invites brief letters of inquiry to the Foundation before proposals are prepared and submitted. Application deadlines for LOIs are 25 January and 26 July 2022. More information

United Nations Foundation — SDG Workshop

The Big Brainstorm seeks young leaders from around the world for a two week workshop to prototype and launch initiatives to tackle the world’s most urgent sustainable development challenges. Participants apply to one of eight Action Groups, including Climate & Sustainability, among others. Each Action Group will prototype initiatives to solve real-world problems. Each Action Group will be given 8 minutes to present to partners, donors, and other young thinkers and activists. Ocean Park Conservation Foundation — Wildlife Conservation in Asia 2023/24

The Ocean Park Conservation Foundation solicits projects on threatened animal species in Asia. The Foundation supports conservation research and management, as well as community education and capacity building. Priority will be given to projects from Eastern, Southern, and Southeast Asia. Coastal countries connected to Asia, where funding is limited and with threatened wide-ranging Asian species, are included. The majority of projects are for one year, but the Foundation will also consider multi-year projects if they show promise of clear conservation outcomes. African Leadership Forum — Youth Leadership Competition

The African Leadership Forum (ALF) invited applications for the Youth Leadership Competition. The theme is “Promoting African intra-trade to unlock agricultural potential in Africa”. African citizens between the age of 18 – 25 years are invited to submit essays on possible solutions to unlock Africa’s agricultural potential. A grand prize of US$2,000 will be awarded to the overall winner. The deadline for submitting entries is 10 January 2023. Details
