The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) seeks applications for a cooperative agreement under the SERVIR Amazonia program. The program aims to help developing nations achieve more sustainable economic growth and improve environmental management, including addressing the impacts of climate change. The Columbus Zoo makes conservation grants for research, local community involvement, capacity building, environmental education, and behavior change leading to improved conservation of wildlife and habitat. Grant requests may range from US$1 thousand to US$25 thousand, but grants are limited to US$5 thousand for first-time applicants. First-time applicants must submit a pre-proposal. Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey — Research Fellowships 2018
The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK) awards research fellowships to international highly qualified PhD students and young postdoctoral researchers. Applicants should be non-Turkish citizens who are age 35 or younger. Preference is for candidates who have the potential to contribute to Turkey’s international cooperation in scientific and technological development. The fields of research collaboration include agricultural sciences, among others. The maximum length of the fellowship is 12 months. The National Research Foundation (NRF) and the British Council announce the Africa-UK Trilateral Call. The call aims to support African researchers to establish research excellence and collaboration between Africa-UK and a third African Country. Proposals are invited from eligible applicants for the DST-NRF/British Council Africa-UK Trilateral Chair. Proposals should focus on the following priorities: Food Security, Sustainable and Renewable Energy, Manufacturing for SMEs (including Agro-processing), Governance and conflict resolution related to development, and Cross-Cutting Themes. British Council — Newton-Mosharafa Science Innovation
The Newton-Mosharafa Fund supports British and Egyptian scientific researchers and innovators to find joint solutions to the challenges facing Egypt in economic development and social welfare through training and researcher mobility schemes. The five focus areas of the currently open call include sustainable water management, renewable energy, and sustainable food production; among two others. U.S. Department of State — Environmental Governance
The U.S. Department of State announces a funding opportunity for Environmental Governance. The purpose of this project is to improve environmental governance, particularly to address the challenges of air pollution, water, and waste management in Morocco, Jordan, Oman, Panama, Peru, Colombia, Chile, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, and/or Honduras.
