The U.S. Department of State announces funding for projects that further the U.S. Mission’s public diplomacy goals in Vietnam, including improved environmental sustainability, climate mitigation and adaptation. Grants will be below US$25 thousand. Proposals over US$25 thousand will be considered only with a cost share and on a case-by-case basis. U.S. Mission to Russia — One Planet: Environment, Health, and Science
The U.S. Mission to Russia announces the “One Planet: Environment, Health, and Science” grant, which supports the promotion of environmental, health, and scientific issues in Russia. The U.S. Embassy invites proposals for projects that promote collaboration between Russia and the United States in the areas of health, science, technology, the environment, and energy. Applicants may apply for funding for any amount up to US$200 thousand. U.S. and Russian nonprofits, universities, civil society, museums, reserves, and community organizations are eligible. International Climate Initiative — Journey Summer School 2021
EIT Climate-KIC seeks partners for the delivery of the 2021 Journey Summer School program. Journey Summer School is a part residential, part online educational program for young climate leaders. Project proposals for online training activities can request up to €25 thousand in funding. Project proposals for residential training activities can request up to €38 thousand in funding. This call for proposals is open for applications to partner and non-partner organizations (universities, NGOs, governments, and businesses across Europe). RBCLAC — Responsible Business Conduct in Latin America and the Caribbean
The Responsible Business Conduct in Latin America and the Caribbean (RBCLAC) project supports governments and companies in their efforts to promote and maintain Responsible Business Conduct in accordance with international standards (including environmental protection standards). The proposals to be funded should contribute to raising awareness among governments, companies, employers and workers organizations, and other civil society actors. A total of three grants will be offered for a minimum amount of US$85 thousand and a maximum amount of US$100 thousand each. Eligible applicants include non-profit entities, government agencies, grassroots organizations, educational institutions, and international organizations in Latin America, the Caribbean or the European Union. The Earthshot Prize is a global environment prize designed by the Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. The Earthshot Prize is centered around five Earthshots which aim to inspire innovation and support changemakers who come up with the brightest ideas to save our planet. The Women Environmental Programme has been appointed an official nominator and seeks individuals, communities, businesses and organizations to submit ideas and possible candidates for nomination. The five Earthshots include: (1) Protect and Restore Nature, (2) Clean Air; (3) Revive Oceans; (4) Waste-free World; (5) Climate Change. Each winner will receive a global platform and profile. The Global Disruptive Tech Challenge 2021 aims to identify and support disruptive technologies and innovative approaches to landscape restoration in the Aral Sea region and Central Asia. Innovators (individuals or organizations) from around the world are invited to submit disruptive technologies that can help alleviate the negative impacts on landscapes from natural and human induced factors (including unsustainable agricultural and forestry practices, water scarcity, and climate change). The David and Lucile Packard Foundation funds projects for conservation and science in themes that include climate change, ocean conservation, agriculture, and others. The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) seeks to equip Ukraine’s agricultural sector and regional and national governments with complementary tools to promote and implement science based and internationally recognized standards. USDA will provide financial assistance of up to US$150 thousand to a non-profit organization, university, for-profit organization, or an Ukraine-based organization in support of the “Empowering Ukrainian Agricultural Associations” program.
