U.S. Mission to Kazakhstan — Media Program for Renewable Energy

The U.S. Mission in Kazakhstan seeks applications to improve the media coverage on renewable energy issues in Kazakhstan. The project should be designed to provide in-depth training on renewable energy to at least 50 journalists from different regions of Kazakhstan, who in turn will be required to produce at least four articles on the theme of green energy or climate change. The applicant should provide online media training classes, covering the topics of renewable energy, global and local efforts in preventing climate change. USAID will provide up to US$46 thousand in funding for project implementation. Eligibility extends to non-profit and for-profit organizations registered in Kazakhstan, as well as civil society organizations registered in the United States. United States Agency for International Development — Resilience of Coastal Communities and Ecosystems

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) to co-create, co-design, co-invest, and collaborate to pilot new and innovative approaches that provide actionable solutions to improve the resilience of coastal communities and ecosystems in Mozambique. USAID envisions to fund solutions building sustainable food and fisheries systems, and building climate resilient, diversified, and economically viable livelihoods. Please note that the resources made available under this call will depend on the concepts received. Some award types may not include any funding. Eligibility extends to public, private, for-profit, and nonprofit organizations, as well as institutions of higher education, public international organizations, non-governmental organizations, U.S. and non-U.S. government organizations. The United Nations Women’s Guild annually makes grants to registered charities in support of projects in education and health that benefit disadvantaged children around the world. Past projects include many focusing on clean drinking water in communities and schools. The maximum grant is €10 thousand. Natural History Book Store — Gratis Books in Ecology and Conservation

The Natural History Book Store supports science and conservation by supplying wildlife and environment books and equipment. In its Gratis Books Scheme, NHBS collaborates with other UK-based organizations to donate books on ecology and conservation to worthy recipients in the developing world. Individuals may request a book for themselves or suggest it for others. Save Our Species — Rapid Action Grants: South Africa

Save Our Species (SOS) is open to applications for Rapid Action Grants in the framework of the SOS African Wildlife initiative. SOS accepts applications for projects targeting terrestrial and freshwater threatened species in South Africa. Rapid Action Grants are open to projects responding to threats linked to the COVID-19 crisis and its consequences. Grant funding to a maximum of 100,000 EUR is available to civil society organisations and public entities. The maximum grant size is €100 thousand with no matching funds required. Unleash — Incubation Program for Entrepreneurs

UNLEASH Plus is a global 6-month incubation program for entrepreneurs working on social or environmental challenges, in line with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). The program provides teams with the right skills, mindsets, and resources to test and launch their solutions, and design them for large-scale impact. Teams will explore real-life challenges within the SDG themes, before defining specific problems and coming up with solutions. The top teams will present their solutions to investors and experts. International Fund for Agricultural Development — Digital Advisory Services

The International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) seeks international organizations to receive a three-year IFAD grant financing to implement the project: Digital Advisory Services to Support Accelerated Rural Transformation for a total amount of up to US$2 million. Goal is the sustainable integration of proven ICT4D solutions that can improve the economic and social conditions of the rural poor, including women and youth. U.S. Department of Agriculture — Animal Health Systems

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) seeks to improve the capacity to anticipate and mitigate the negative impacts of animal diseases, zoonosis, climate change, and disasters for healthy and productive animal populations and increased access to regional and international markets for African animals and animal products. USDA will provide technical agricultural assistance in support of national and regional technical training, research, and outreach programs. USDA will grant one cooperative agreement of US$1 million to implement the new Animal Health Strategy for Africa (AHSA). USDA – Poultry Value Chain Assessment in Tanzania

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) seeks to support applied research to better understand the supply chain and market system for poultry and eggs in Tanzania. The recipient will collaborate with FAS to organize and conduct survey interviews with a representative pool of professionals. USDA will grant one cooperative agreement of US$180 thousand to conduct research and data collection. Eligibility extends to non-profit organizations and institutions of higher education. Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund — Biodiversity Conservation in the Mediterranean Basin (wider Prespa-Ohrid area)

The Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund (CEPF) and the Prespa Ohrid Nature Trust (PONT) invite Letters of Inquiry (LOIs) for small grants (up to US$20 thousand) for projects that support the sustainable management of water catchments in the wider Prespa-Ohrid area (Albania and North Macedonia).
