Sea of Change Foundation — Reef Rescue and Rapid Response
Reef Rescue and Rapid Response grants seek to empower divers and their communities to act as first responders to localized impacts on coral reefs. Funds support the immediate response to coral reef damage from anchor drops, vessel groundings, entanglement, oil spills, and acute pollution that impact coral reefs. The grants will support divers and their communities in responding quickly to a reef-damaging incident by helping cover immediate costs such as boat fuel, staff time, video cameras, lift bags, transect tapes and handheld GPS units. HawkWatch International — Global Raptor Research & Conservation Grant
HawkWatch International invites local researchers to apply for grants supporting research or conservation work on threatened, understudied raptor species worldwide. Applicants may request up to $3,500, with up to three grants awarded per year; prior recipients may apply for one additional year of continued funding. Applicants must be citizens or permanent residents of the country where the project takes place, affiliated with a registered NGO or university there, and working on a species ranked as high-priority under HawkWatch’s own scoring system, which combines extinction risk with evolutionary distinctiveness and research neglect. Projects based in the USA, Canada, or Europe are not eligible, nor are proposals submitted in any language other than English. All grant activities must be completed within 18 months. Climate Change and Health Hub — Climate-Health Projects
The LAC Hub for Climate Change and Health (CLIMAS) supports research-backed projects that transform climate-health knowledge into practical tools, policies, and actions, focusing on three key areas: training health professionals for climate-induced emergencies and disease outbreaks. Funding is scaled by project size—from COP 250 million (small), COP 251–500 million (medium), up to COP 900 million (large)—with implementation expected to run for 12 to 24 months. Eligibility extends to consortia of 2–3 legally constituted organizations in Latin America and the Caribbean, including community-based groups, universities, research centers, or NGOs. UK PACT — Nature-Based Solutions in Kenya
The Kenya–UK PACT accepts proposals for high-impact, demand-informed Nature-Based Solutions projects that support Kenya’s just climate transition and align with national priorities. The call is open to not-for-profit organizations (including think tanks, NGOs, academic institutions, and community groups). Funding ranges from £400 thousand to £650 thousand per project. International Fund for Agricultural Development — Livestock and Communities
The International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) supports projects in Thailand, Cambodia, Viet Nam, and Laos to enhance community-level capacity and regional collaboration on One Health issues addressing disease prevention, antimicrobial resistance, food safety, and environmental health. Water Research Foundation — Research Support
The Water Research Foundation (WRF) has issued a call for proposals under its Research Priority Program for nine new research projects—covering topics like microbial and chemical contamination, asset condition assessment, pathogen evaluation, microplastics monitoring, biosolids drying technologies, methane emissions, and more. Water Research Foundation — Climate-Smart Water Solutions
The Water Research Foundation Tailored Collaboration Program is a matching research initiative designed to support utility-specific or regional challenges that research can help to solve. WRF will provide up to US$150 thousand in matching funds for each selected project. The program encourages collaboration between utilities and researchers to address pressing water sector issues. Biodiversa+ — Biodiversity and Transformative Change
Biodiversa+ launches a joint call for transnational research proposals focused on fostering innovative research to be integrated into nature restoration practices for interconnected and well-functioning ecosystems and habitats, with special consideration for long-term sustainability and future-proofing of restoration efforts across spatial scales, including their evaluation. The call covers restoration efforts for biodiversity in all types of ecosystems and habitats, in all regions of the world. Funding organizations have reserved a total amount of over €40 million for joint research projects. Research teams must form transnational research consortia with eligible partners from a minimum of 3 countries participating in the call. Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund — Biodiversity Conservation in the Tropical Andes
The Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund (CEPF) invites applications for small grants (from US$5 thousand to US$50 thousand) and large grants (from US$50 thousand to US$200 thousand) in support of biodiversity conservation in the Tropical Andes. CEPF provides an informational webinar (in Spanish) to help applicants develop a successful letter of inquiry. Eligibility for grants extends to NGOs, local communities, indigenous peoples groups, and other civil society organizations in Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru.
