The Penn Development Research Initiative (DevLab at the University of Pennsylvania) seeks to build capacity for rigorous research on pressing policy challenges facing low- and middle-income countries, by providing training and research opportunities for emerging researchers. The university invites researchers from Sub-Saharan Africa to apply for a semester-long fellowship for the 2023 Fall semester (September – December 2023). GBIF and the open-access Journal of Limnology announce a call for researchers to submit data papers about species that inhabit the world’s inland waters. The Wellcome Trust supports bold and creative discovery research that has the potential to improve human life, health and wellbeing. The Early-Career Awards provide funding for early-career researchers from any discipline who are ready to develop their research identity through innovative projects. Research can be in any discipline, including STEM, experimental medicine, or climate – as long as it has the potential to improve human life.
