The Commonwealth Youth Awards for Excellence in Development Work recognize individuals ages 15 to 29 who lead innovative development projects in themes that include agriculture, small enterprise, skills training, climate change, environmental protection, sustainable livelihoods, and poverty reduction. The program selects regional winners from each of Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, and the Pacific. Winners are awarded grants of up to a total of £5 thousand in total to advance their projects. Earth Journalism Network — Mediterranean Media Initiative Story Grants
The Earth Journalism Network (EJN) supports the production of in-depth stories covering current and emerging marine issues in the Mediterranean. EJN offers up to 10 story grants with a budget of up to €1,000 each for this round of story grants to support reporting on illegal fishing and the biodiversity crisis in the Mediterranean region, as well as solutions to marine issues. Applicants can be from any country that borders the Mediterranean Sea. Watson Institute — Western Union Foundation Fellowship
The Western Union Foundation Fellowship is for young entrepreneurs and community leaders who are from highly marginalized, refugee, and forcibly displaced communities around the globe. Youth Climate Justice Fund — Funding for Young Climate Leaders
The Youth Climate Justice Fund seeks applications to support climate justice young leaders with trust-based funding, resources, and youth-to-youth capacity development. Groups can apply for a grant of up to US$10 thousand, which can be used for 12 months. Applying networks or collectives have to be led by young people aged 35 and under and be based in East Asia and Pacific, Middle East and North Africa, Sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean, South Asia, Europe and Central Asia, or North America. USAID — Afghanistan Integrated Youth Activity
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) seeks applications for a cooperative agreement from qualified entities to implement the Afghanistan Integrated Youth Activity (AIYA) program. AIYA aims to empower Afghan youth, particularly girls and young women, with market-relevant technical and soft skills to enhance income, food security, and economic resilience. U.S. Department of State — Air Pollution
The U.S. Department of State announces an open competition for organizations interested in applying to implement a project on increasing sub-national, national, and regional capacity to address air pollution in Latin America and/or Central Asia. The goal is to equip countries in Latin America and Central Asia with the tools to actively engage in regional air quality initiatives. Funding ranges from US$365 thousand to US$730 thousand.
