Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey — Research Fellowships 2018

The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK) awards research fellowships to international highly qualified PhD students and young postdoctoral researchers. Applicants should be non-Turkish citizens who are age 35 or younger. Preference is for candidates who have the potential to contribute to Turkey’s international cooperation in scientific and technological development. The fields of research collaboration include agricultural sciences, among others. The maximum length of the fellowship is 12 months. Asian Women In Business – Scholarship for Female Entrepreneurs

The Asian Women In Business Scholarship (AWIB) encourages and promotes exceptional Asian female students and social entrepreneurs who have demonstrated leadership, community service and/or entrepreneurship. (Note: This may include one or more categories of the Terra Viva Grants directory.) Selected entrepreneurs will receive US$ 2,500. Eligibility extends to students of Asian or Pacific Islander ancestry who are enrolled full-time in an accredited 4-year undergraduate institution in the US and have permanent residency. DSM — Brighter Living Scholarship

DMS offers 4 scholarships to young leaders from Zambia and Ethiopia, who are working in the field of nutrition to deliver nutritional solutions for their communities. The scholarship seeks candidates who develop/implement programs to eliminate post-harvest losses for small holder farmers, among others. World Bank — Masters Fellowship for African Female Scientists

Applications are open for the World Bank/ACE II Masters Fellowships for African female scientists. Priority areas include agriculture, among others. Selected fellows will receive financial support that covers tuition fees, living expenses, research, and travel. Eastern Africa Farmers Federation — Support for Young Farmers in Africa

The Eastern Africa Farmers Federation in partnership with IFAD calls for innovative ideas from rural youth groups in agriculture and agribusiness related enterprises. Young farmers will receive technical support, mentorship, access to potential funders/investors and other partnership opportunities. Center for Science and Technology of the Non-Aligned and Other Developing Countries — Fellowship in Tropical Coastal Marine Research

The NAM S&T Centre invites applications from scientists from the developing countries for the Joint NAM S&T Centre – ZMT Bremen (Germany) Fellowship in Tropical Coastal Marine Research. Under this scheme, five selected scientists will work with senior researchers and faculty members in fields related to Ecology, Biogeochemistry, Geology, and Tropical Coastal Marine Systems; and undertaking short-term joint research projects for a period of up to 3 months. Sam Moyo African Institute for Agrarian Studies — Small Research Grants

The SMAIAS is an Independent Research Organisation which seeks to influence land and natural resources policies in Africa through multi-disciplinary science research, policy dialogues, and training. The Small Research Grants program is intended to support research projects with budgets of US$2,500 for dissertation writing. Eligibility extends to emerging young African scholars from agriculture and other related professional fields whose research is aimed at helping to inform policies and practices that improve the lives of marginalised groups who depend on agriculture as a source of their livelihoods. African Center for Agro-Ecology and Livelihood Systems — PhD and MSc Scholarships

Uganda Martyrs University in conjunction with African Center for Agro-Ecology and Livelihood Systems (ACALISE) invites applications for PhD and MSc ACALISE National/International Scholarships. Programmes include PhD in Agro-Ecology and Livelihood Systems, MSc in Agro-Ecology, and others. Applicants must be citizens of a country in Sub-Saharan Africa who are currently enrolled on any of the ACALISE Programmes. U.S. Department of State — YSEALI Academic Fellows

The Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) is a program of the U.S. government to support bright young leaders ages 18-35 in the ASEAN countries. The YSEALI Academic Fellowships offer support to participate in a five-week institute on the campus of a U.S. university or college in one of the following topics: civil engagement; environmental issues; or social entrepreneurship and economic development. The fellowships include leadership development, an educational study tour, local community service activities, and opportunities to engage with peers in the USA. Applications are invited from current undergraduate or graduate students — as well as recent graduates — in Brunei, Burma, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. Application deadlines vary by country, Cambodia’s application process is currently open with deadline on 29 May 2018. Arab Council for the Social Sciences — Postdoctoral Fellowships 2018-2019

The Arab Council for the Social Sciences announces its fifth cycle of postdoctoral fellowships for junior Arab scholars. The program is open to individuals who completed their PhD within the past three years, and who are nationals or residents of countries in the League of Arab States. The fellowship provides for full costs over nine months in the proposed country/countries of residence where the fellow will reside. The thematic focus is open. The program has a special interest in attracting foreign-trained Arab scholars back to the region.The application deadline is 15 June 2018. Link
