The Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund (CEPF) invites Letters of Inquiry (LOIs) for small grants (up to US$20 thousand) in support of biodiversity conservation in the Mediterranean Basin. Funding will be provided in support of conservation/preservation of biodiversity in coastal areas and plant conservation in Algeria. Tata Trusts — Social Alpha Agritech Challenge
The Social Alpha Agritech Challenge 2.0 seeks innovators and start-ups with science and technology-based solutions that have the potential to create an impact in the lives of smallholder farmers in India. The winners receive support in the areas of product development, testing, pilots, product validation, product management and market strategy. Additional funding will be decided on a case-to-case basis. The challenge is open to individuals, teams, social enterprises, nonprofits, and companies registered in India. UNDP-GEF Small Grants Program — COVID-19 Support for Indigenous Peoples and Fishing Communities in Malaysia
The Global Support Initiative for Indigenous Peoples and Community provides support to Indigenous Peoples and Fishing Communities to strengthen long-term socio-ecological resilience. Funding is intended for grassroots actions and initiatives across various themes, including agroecology and agroforestry, income-generation activities and community-based ecotourism, and other activities related to Covid-19 recovery and resilience. Grants are a maximum of US$50 thousand per project for the duration of 18 months. Applications must be from qualified organizations, such as national and local civil society organizations (including community-based organizations, NGOs, and Indigenous Peoples organizations). Elrha — Adoption Challenge WASH Innovations
Elrha seeks local organizations interested in adopting innovations from their WASH Innovation catalogue into their programs. Funding of up to £150 thousand will be made available to cover the adoption costs. Eligibility extends to civil society organizations and NGOs who are a registered entity in the country of implementation. German Government — International Climate Initiative Peru
Germany’s International Climate Initiative (IKI) supports projects on climate change mitigation and adaptation, sustainable energy, and biodiversity projects with climate relevance in Peru. The German Government will support projects ranging from €12 million to €15 million. Fonds SUEZ Initiatives — Water, Sanitation, and Waste Management
Fonds Suez Initiatives makes grants and provides technical skills for projects in water, sanitation, and waste management in developing countries. Eligibility for grants extends to nonprofit organizations and institutions. For projects regarding access to essential services for disadvantaged populations in developing countries, the maximum grant is €80 thousand. U.S. Mission to Guinea — Small Grants for Community Development
The U.S. Embassy in Conakry provides small grants to registered self-help groups and community-based organizations in Guinea. Grants are made in support of projects that improve living conditions in local communities, including but not limited to water-related projects or income generating activities such as agriculture and fisheries. Awards range from US$5 thousand to US$15 thousand. Eligibility extends to not-for-profit organizations, including village associations, women’s groups and civil society organizations. The U.S. Embassy in Thailand announces an open competition for organizations and individuals to submit applications to carry out programs that promote the US-Thai partnership. U.S. Department of State — Wildlife Trafficking in Sub-Saharan Africa
The U.S. Department of State, Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL), supports activities that counter wildlife trafficking and illegal logging in Sub-Saharan Africa. The overall goal is to reduce the ability of criminal groups to profit from poaching and trafficking of protected animals, as well as protected timber and plants, originating from Africa. Applicants may request up to US$1.5 million for the implementation of anti-wildlife crime related activities.
