Global Water Partnership-Caribbean — Seed Funding for Young Caribbean Water Entrepreneurs

The Global Water Partnership-Caribbean invites young Caribbean entrepreneurs (18-34 years) to submit innovative water-related project ideas to the Young Caribbean Water Entrepreneurs Shark Tank Competition. Project ideas should focus on water resources management in the Caribbean region and focus on one of five thematic areas: (1) Water and Climate; (2) Water and Agriculture; (3) Water and Health; (4) Water and Energy; (5) Water and Tourism. Participants will have the opportunity to pitch their ideas for a chance to secure seed funding of US$4 thousand. The deadline for submission of project ideas is 04 August 2024. Canada Fund for Local Initiatives — Community Projects in Jordan

The Canada Fund for Local Initiatives invites proposals that meet the needs of local communities in Jordan. The priorities under this call include one on environment and climate action focusing on adaptation and mitigation, as well as on water management. The average contribution is expected to be in the range of C$55 thousand to C$75 thousand per project. Larger projects may be considered on an exceptional basis. Eligibility extends to local community organizations, non-profit organizations, and academic institutions. The deadline for submission is 21 March 2024. CFLI Jordan

The Canada Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI) invites proposals that meet the needs of local communities in Mongolia. The priorities under this call include women’s economic rights, decent jobs and entrepreneurship, and investing in the poorest and most vulnerable (which may include agriculture or aquaculture projects), as well as environment, climate action focusing on adaptation and mitigation, and water management. The average contribution is C$12 thousand to C$20 thousand per project. Eligibility extends to not-for-profit local, national, or community-based organizations. The Chatham House Sustainability Accelerator provides microgrants to crowdsource and catalyze innovative ideas to reach a sustainable future. German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development — Digital Innovation for Smallholder Farmers in Latin America

The German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development seeks solutions that use agricultural technologies and digital tools (agritech) to enhance the profitability of smallholder farmers in Latin America, improving their resilience to climate change. Selected entities will receive grants of up to US$ 85 thousand to fund technical assistance projects tailored to the conditions, needs, and potential of smallholder farmers. Lush Retail, Inc. — Animal Protection, Environment, and Human Rights

Lush makes grants through a Charity Pot to small grassroots organizations for projects in environment, animal protection, and human rights. It prefers to support projects which aim to change opinion and behavior through raising awareness of issues, activism, and education and campaigning. U.S. Mission to Lesotho — Self-Help Program

The special self-help program of the U.S. Embassy to Lesotho supports small, sustainable community-based initiatives that have an immediate and strong impact on the local community. The Embassy expects to support different types of projects: from development projects such as agricultural cooperatives to women’s empowerment and the environment. Grants typically range from US$3 thousand to US$10 thousand per project. All applicants must include a significant community contribution.
