Concept notes should propose programs implemented in two or more of the following Amazon Basin countries: Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana, Peru, and Suriname. Mozilla Technology Fund — AI and Environmental Justice
The Mozilla Technology Fund seeks to fund open source projects at the intersection of environmental justice and AI which are making a positive impact in ecosystems and human communities. Mozilla is interested in convening technical projects that have a firm grounding in environmental and climate justice, sustainability, and ecology. U.S Agency for International Development — Climate Gender Equity Fund
The Climate Gender Equity Fund (CGEF) aims to increase access to finance for community-based organizations that advances gender equitable climate action. The Fund seeks climate- and gender-smart fund managers and entrepreneur networks aiming to unlock capital for long-term and systemic change. Organizations may propose to use grant funding for a variety of purposes including building their own capacity to provide gender-smart and gender transformative climate finance. One Day’s Wages — Matching Grants
One Day’s Wages is a grassroots movement to alleviate extreme global poverty. Matching grants require partners to raise a portion of the grant funds, which are then matched by One Day’s Wages dollar for dollar. Matching grant requests from first-time partners is US$5,000 – US$30 thousand. Projects must fit within one or more of ODW’s focus areas, which include Climate Impact, and Water & Sanitation, among others. Applicants must be a registered non-governmental nonprofit organization. EIT Climate-KIC — Capacity Building Program for Climate Entrepreneurs
EIT Climate-KIC, IDB Lab, and the Clean Technology Fund seek to advance climate innovation in Latin American and the Caribbean. Up to 25 organizations will receive tailored capacity building and knowledge transfer in specific areas around supporting climate innovations. Eligibility extends to innovation agencies, incubators, accelerators, ecosystem builders, venture capital investors, co-working spaces, and hubs that wish to initiate or deepen their involvement in fighting climate change by supporting start-ups focused on mitigating carbon emissions. Climate Arena has a fellowship opportunity for those who have a cross-border and investigative climate story idea. Fellows will be invited to join the Climate Arena journalism conference in Vienna (November 2023), receiving mentoring and training right up to publication time. Climate Story Lab — Training Program in Lagos
The Climate Story Lab is a training program with focus on storytellers in Nigeria and West Africa, whose works are rooted in climate storytelling with strong focus on the region. Projects should be non-fiction films, immersive and interactive stories or podcasts. Fiction films with a clear climate perspective can also be considered. Projects must be in production, post-production or distribution and outreach stages. Applicants must be 18 years or older and be a national of any West African country. Our Kids Climate makes climate microgrants to help you carry out climate projects and activities, for example, webinars, art exhibitions, communication materials, or campaigning actions. Microgrants are small grants (£2 thousand or £4 thousand) for parent-led, intergenerational, and family-centered climate engagement work.
