The Earth Journalism Network (EJN) seeks applications from journalist networks, media organizations, civil society organizations, or academic institutions throughout the Asia-Pacific region. With this call, the EJN aims to boost the quantity and quality of environmental and climate coverage in the region. The proposed projects can focus on capacity building activities, networking, or be used as a seed grant to build a new environmental media startup or journalist network. Grants will be given to organizations looking to implement projects with the maximum duration of one year. The grant amount can range between US$15 thousand to US$20 thousand. The KBF Africa Prize is awarded to Africans or African organizations who are making an outstanding contribution to development in Africa. There are no restrictions as to the chosen themes. The Selection Committee favors community approaches that deal with actual and current challenges in Africa. The winners receive financial support of up to €250 thousand. The 100,000 Strong in the Americas Innovation Fund, Alliance for Climate Action (100K CLIMA) competition invites higher education institutions from the United States and Colombia to create partnerships to submit proposals for consideration. The 100K CLIMA competition intends to award 10 grants of up to US$50 thousand each. The purpose of the competition is to provide funding to support innovative partnerships between HEIs that will result in inclusive, climate-focused, student/faculty exchange and training programs. The United Nations Global Marketplace (UNGM) launches the development and delivery of a Climate Finance Transparency Program. Partners are expected to provide capacity building to developing countries on climate finance transparency so that they can use what they have learnt to advance the implementation of their climate policies and actions. Financing for this activity ranges from US$40 thousand to US$60 thousand. InsuResilience Solutions Fund — Climate Risk Insurance Products
InsuResilience Solutions Fund (ISF) seeks projects with a holistic approach to disaster relief and preparedness. The Fund will support the development of new climate risk insurance products or the scaling-up of already existing products to increase the resilience of poor and vulnerable people in developing countries to climate change. The ISF provides grant-based co-funding of up to €2.5 million but requires matching the grant funding (in-kind and/or as a financial contribution). Wilson Center — MENA Youth Fellowship
The Wilson Center announces a call for applications for the “Agents of Change Youth Fellowship,” a professional fellowship program for emerging leaders seeking meaningful careers at the intersection of climate change and security. The 2025 cohort will have a focus on water. The program is open to applicants from countries in the MENA region with a minimum of 5 years of work experience. Global Landscapes Forum (GLF) invites applications to the Landscape Leadership Camp. Earth Journalism Network — Media Grants Amazon
The Earth Journalism Network (EJN) organizational grants to media outlets, NGOs, academic institutions, and other interested groups to support media and journalism activities related to environmental crimes in the Amazon Region in Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru. Interested applicants should propose activities for the training of Amazonian journalists and communicators and for supporting the production of journalistic reports on environmental crimes. EJN expects to award grants of US$5,000 to US$10 thousand.
