This call is open to civil society organizations operating in Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, Equatorial Guinea, Ghana, Liberia, and São Tomé and Príncipe. The grants aim to strengthen coverage of corporate climate action, emissions reduction, adaptation, sustainable finance, green technologies, and the transition to a low-carbon economy. Eligible applicants are journalists, editors, and media organizations based in Thailand with a proven record of environmental or business reporting. Climate and Clean Air Coalition — Super Pollutant Country Action Accelerator

The Climate and Clean Air Coalition invites proposals for seven country-specific technical assistance projects under the Super Pollutant Country Action Accelerator. The calls support government-led action to reduce methane, black carbon, hydrofluorocarbons, and other short-lived climate pollutants through projects addressing agriculture, clean household energy, national policy and monitoring systems, and waste management in Cambodia, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Mexico, and South Africa. Eligible lead applicants are non-governmental organizations, intergovernmental organizations, and other not-for-profit entities; for-profit organizations may participate only as stakeholders, co-funders, or end users. Funding is not offered as one standard grant amount: each of the seven calls has its own estimated project cost. The wider Accelerator’s first cohort comprises Brazil, Cambodia, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Mexico, Nigeria, and South Africa and will collectively receive an initial US$25 million support package. World Bank Group — Africa Fellowship Program 2027

The Africa Region of the World Bank Group seeks applications for the 2027 WBG-Africa Fellowship Program for Ph.D. Students and recent Ph.D. graduates who are Sub-Saharan nationals. Fellows will spend at least six months at the World Bank offices in Washington, D.C., or in a Sub-Saharan country, getting hands-on experience in development work. While benefiting from research and innovation in multiple sectors, fellows will also work on economic policy, technical assistance, and lending to eliminate poverty and increase shared prosperity. Fellows will receive consultant fees, economy-class air travel, and worker’s compensation insurance. The program invites applications from recent Ph.D. graduates, or current doctoral students, in disciplinary fields that include agriculture, energy, and others.
