King Baudouin Foundation — Subsidies in Support of Sustainable Development
The Business Partnership Facility awards subsidies to support and develop private sector involvement in Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in developing countries. The project must contribute to achieving at least one clearly identified SDG. Funding of up to €200 thousand is available. Partnerships must comprise actors from the private sector, civil society, academia and/or the public sector, with at least one organization from the for-profit private sector. Lithuanian Development Cooperation — Development Cooperation Projects 2021
Lithuanian Development Cooperation makes grants to fund projects in developing partner countries. Submitted project applications must conform to the multilateral and/or bilateral strategic agreements between partner countries in Eastern Europe (detailed in the announcement), this includes environmental protection and sustainable agriculture technologies, among other thematic areas. African Development Bank — Youth Agripreneur AgriPitch Competition
The African Development Bank connects youth-led African businesses with global investors. The goal of the AgriPitch Competition is to promote innovation and entrepreneurship in agriculture among youth in Africa and improve livelihoods through inclusive growth. African companies are invited to submit their project proposals for consideration. U.S. African Development Foundation — Supporting African Farmers in Uganda
The U.S. African Development Foundation (USADF) invites proposals for grant financing and local support from African companies with innovative solutions to improve farmer incomes. Proposals will only be accepted from registered African-owned and led entities in Uganda that have experience working with farmer organizations, cooperatives and associations. Netherlands Enterprise Agency — DHI Subsidy Scheme
The DHI scheme aims to increase and strengthen the number of Dutch companies operating successfully in emerging markets and developing countries. DHI focuses on SMEs in the Netherlands and the Caribbean part of the Kingdom with interest in foreign markets (especially developing and emerging economies). Dutch SMEs can request subsidies for feasibility studies (with a foreign partner), investment preparation projects, or demonstration projects of a technology, product or service in the target country. 100,000 Strong in the Americas — Higher Education for Sustainability in Mexico
The US-Mexico Innovation Fund Competition is designed to create and foster partnerships between higher education (HEIs) in Mexico and the United States that provide new student exchange and training programs in the academic themes of Green/Renewable Energy, Sustainable Agriculture, Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) and others. Business Partnerships Platform — COVID-19 Recovery
The Australian Government calls for partnerships to help support COVID-19 recovery in Bangladesh, Nepal, Philippines, Timor-Leste and Tonga. The program seeks projects which create social impact in the following areas: green recovery (including tourism), economic opportunities (including agriculture, renewable energy), capacity building, and digitalisation. Selected projects will receive from A$100 thousand to A$500 thousand in funding to scale a business initiative for social impact. ISEKI-Food Association — Food Biodiversity Student Competition
The 2020 Food Factory-4-Us Sustainable Supply Chain International Student Competition seeks great ideas for valorizing food biodiversity. The competition is open to Master’s students enrolled in a food study program in any country. Participants have to form teams of 3-5 students, get a faculty mentor and present a project proposal.
