The Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree in Aquaculture, Environment and Society (EM JMD ACES) is a full-time master’s program for two years for European and international students. Applicants are expected to have an appropriate background in aquaculture, marine science, aquatic biology, biology, environmental sciences, marine resources, environmental economics, or environmental policy. Participating students will divide their semesters among universities in the UK, Greece, and France. The program offers limited scholarships to cover tuition fees, living, and travel expenses. The World Meteorological Organization (WMO) invites photographers to submit high-quality and artistic photographs which illustrate the theme of World Meteorological Day “The Ocean, our Climate and Weather.” Winning entries will feature in the WMO 2021 online calendar. The YouthLead Ambassador program is a six-month development and leadership program for young changemakers between the ages of 18 and 35 years. The Ambassadors receive a stipend of US$300 at the conclusion of their successful ambassadorship. Eligibility is limited to young changemakers from low-and middle-income countries in the youth-development sector with a proven track record in supporting and mobilizing other young people in their communities. BBSRC’s Follow-on Funding (FoF) supports the translation of research into practical application. The aim of the program is to help researchers maximize the societal and economic benefits of their research. The applicant must currently or previously have held BBSRC funding with demonstrable relevance to the application. Funding ranges between £25 thousand and £800 thousand. The Erbacher Foundation supports rural development in subject areas that include livestock husbandry, crop production, drinking water, and environmental protection. The priority countries are India, Tanzania, and Uganda. Applications are invited from Germany charitable organizations involved in development cooperation. Applying organizations need to have partnerships with local NGOs. The German institution is responsible for project administration and coordination. The UNITAR Social Entrepreneurship Training Program for Women aims to empower women with the knowledge and skills of entrepreneurship to address socio-economic challenges in Africa. The training will be delivered in English and consists of mentoring, pitching, planning, and outcome evaluation. This program is open for women, including members of small and medium enterprises, government agencies and academic institutions, from Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia, and Sudan. The special self-help program of the U.S. Embassy Malabo supports small, sustainable community-based initiatives that have an immediate and strong impact on the local community. Embassy Malabo expects to support different types of projects: from development projects such as agricultural cooperatives to women’s empowerment and the environment. Grants are typically between US$5 thousand and US$10 thousand per project. All applicants must include a significant community contribution.The Embassy welcomes applications from all Equatorial Guinea-based nonprofit organizations and community based organizations. The International Development Research Center (IDRC) seeks to support locally grounded in-depth evaluative and action research to identify and scale successful solutions for achieving women’s empowerment and gender equality in the world of work. Evaluative projects will have a budget of up to CA$500 thousand and a duration of up to 24 months. Action research projects will have a budget of up to CA$500 thousand and a duration of up to 36 months. The call is open to research institutions, think tanks, and non-governmental organizations based in Benin, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Senegal. Television for the Environment (tve) seeks entries for the Global Sustainability Awards (GSFA). The tve Global Sustainability Film Awards recognizes outstanding films that inspire audiences with real-world solutions for a more sustainable future. Films need to address a relevant sustainable development goal and cogently explain its importance or show a relevant solution. To be eligible for GSFA 2020 all entered films must be made between the period July 2018 and July 2020. The competition is open to any company, organization or individual in any country. The Belmont Forum launches a collaborative research networking call on the theme: Transdisciplinary Research for Pathways to Sustainability. The Belmont Forum will support collaborative research networking activities that focus on approaches to develop Earth-system-based transformation pathways for sustainable development.
