African Leadership Forum — Youth Leadership Competition

The African Leadership Forum (ALF) invited applications for the Youth Leadership Competition. The theme is “Promoting African intra-trade to unlock agricultural potential in Africa”. African citizens between the age of 18 – 25 years are invited to submit essays on possible solutions to unlock Africa’s agricultural potential. GSMA — Innovation Fund for Anticipatory Humanitarian Action

GSMA Innovation Fund for Anticipatory Humanitarian Action seeks to help accelerate the testing, adoption and scalability of digital innovations that leverage mobile digital technology to help anticipate potential humanitarian impacts and enable effective early response. Successful projects will receive an equity-free grant of between £100 thousand and £250 thousand to scale their innovation over a 15 to 18 month period. CRDF Global — Disrupting the Rise of Disinformation in Biosecurity

CRDF Global announces a grant opportunity to support counter-disinformation initiatives that respond to active influence campaigns that undermine established norms in biosecurity. Grants are up to US$10 thousand to conduct research and develop solutions to discredit efforts by state actors to subvert international biological science. Grants should empower recipients to recognize and immediately and scientifically counter any claim of misinformation. Young Water Solutions — Young Water Fellowship Program: LAC

The Young Water Fellowship Program aims to empower young leaders from the developing world to implement projects addressing water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH), water pollution, and water scarcity. The program offers intensive training, seed grants up to €5 thousand for projects, and mentoring support by senior experts during one year. Applications are currently invited from individuals ages 18-30 who are residents of the low and middle-income countries in Latin America and the Caribbean. Grow Further — Grants for Agricultural Research Projects

Grow Further invites agricultural researchers to submit proposals for funding and management assistance. Grants support smallholder farmers and other populations at risk, research on domesticated species relevant to food and nutrition security, and communication technology in agriculture. Grants range from US$10 thousand to US$100 thousand per year. All types of organizations, public, private, and nonprofit, are eligible to apply. Polden-Puckham Charitable Foundation — Environmental Sustainability Grants

The Polden-Puckham Charitable Foundation’s grant making in Environmental Sustainability addresses the pressures and conditions that risk global environmental breakdown. Past projects have included topics in sustainable agriculture; energy conservation; environmental degradation; and reduced consumption. The Foundation funds UK organizations for projects to promote peace and sustainable security — and environmental sustainability — including for international projects. Eligibility extends to UK-registered charities and to organizations in other countries that work through UK-registered charities. Institute of Current World Affairs — Fellowship Program 2023

The Institute of Current World Affairs (ICWA) makes grants to support fellows who carry out self-designed independent studies for a minimum of two years in the developing world. Fellows must hold the promise of enriching public life in the United States by enhancing the understanding of foreign countries, cultures and trends, therefore candidates must show strong and credible ties to U.S. society. Proposals in the fields of environment, climate change, sustainability and conservation are welcome. Candidates who seek fellowships may reside in any developing country. Netherlands Enterprise Agency — Energy Transition Facility

The Energy Transition Facility (ETF) aims to support countries in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA region) with their transition to a more sustainable energy supply. National governments can request advice and the Netherlands Enterprise Agency will decide how to best support the proposal, plan or idea. Proposals and requests for government-to-government collaboration can be submitted by governments and government partners in Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Mozambique, the Palestinian Territories, Tanzania, and Tunisia.
