ChangemakerXchange — Climate Action Summit

ChangemakerXchange launches a global intersectional climate action program that supports the world’s leading climate action changemakers and activists from different regions. In 2022, there will be three in-person summits and a follow-up community and capacity-building program in Europe, MENA, and North America. Applicants must come from or be currently living in one of the eligible countries and be aged 18 – 35. Participants are asked to cover their own transportation costs. ASEAN Centre for Energy — ASEAN Energy Youth Awards 2022

The ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE) announces the ASEAN Energy Youth Awards (AEYA) in recognition of young students’ valuable contribution to sustainable development and energy transition. The theme of the 3rd award is “Accelerating Energy Transition towards Economic Recovery and Sustainable Growth.” The winners and runners-up will be invited to the 40th of ASEAN Ministers on Energy Meeting in September 2022 and receive small cash prizes. SDSN Youth — Global Innovation and Impact Awards

SDSN Youth mobilizes youth to the forefront of achieving the Sustainable Development Goals by connecting young people to pathways of understanding, collaboration and action. The Global Innovation and Impact Awards aim to recognize and mobilize leading solutions for the Sustainable Development Goals. The Awards target young changemakers worldwide building solutions for the SDGs. The submissions must have a measurable positive impact on achieving at least one of the 17 SDGs. SDSN Youth will work collaboratively with the awardees to provide seed funding, mentorship and access to exclusive opportunities. Entrepreneurship Campus — Youth Citizen Entrepreneurship Competition

The Entrepreneurship Campus invites innovative ideas for the Youth Citizen Entrepreneurship Competition to create a culture for entrepreneurship and implement one or more of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. Participants are invited to submit their innovative ideas and projects with a societal impact. Entries will be posted on the competition website and are subject to online commenting and public voting. Winners receive a virtual badge and a certificate. Participants from 13 to 29 years who are operating a business, a non-profit organization or an informal program are eligible to apply. Applications can be submitted until 15 September 2022. European Commission — Youth4Regions Program for Aspiring Journalists

The Youth4Regions Program offers young aspiring journalists the chance to find out what the EU is doing in their region (the EU policy covers topics such as climate change, conservation, and sustainable development). Selected participants will receive mentorship from established journalists in their home country and have the opportunity to take part as a journalist in European Commission press trips to Member States. Accommodation and travel expenses are covered by the European Commission. Applicants must be citizens of a current EU, EU candidate or neighboring country, be between 18 and 30 years old, and have a background in journalism (applications from students are being accepted). BeyGOOD — Global Citizen Fellowship Program for Youth

The Global Citizen Fellowship Program supports a total of 15 young changemakers from South Africa, Nigeria and Kenya who fight extreme poverty and inequality in their communities. Fellows will go through a multi-phase curriculum, specifically designed to equip them with the skills and tools they need in any future professional environment. Fellows will learn how to use digital technology for social change, storytelling tactics to shift attitudes, and build lasting professional relationships. Stiftung Entrepreneurship — Citizen Entrepreneurship Competition 2022

The Citizen Entrepreneurship Competition (CEC) invites entrepreneurs from all around the world to submit innovative answers and ideas to solve the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Young entrepreneurs (age 15-35) submit their ideas and projects in the Youth Citizen Entrepreneurship category. Entrepreneurs over 30 years apply to the Adult Citizen Entrepreneurship category. Global Youth Mobilization — Local Solutions Fund

Global Youth Mobilization is a movement of young people taking action to improve their lives in a post-COVID-19 world. The Local Solutions Fund supports young people that have an idea for a solution to overcome a challenge created by the COVID-19 pandemic to support their local community. Individuals or informal groups can apply for up to UD$1,500. Youth-led grassroots organizations can apply for up to US$5,000. Any young person between the ages of 14 – 30 can apply. Applications must be aligned with the WHO’s recommendations on COVID-19 public health measures (e.g., water and sanitation). Applications will be reviewed on a three month rolling cycle. International Fund for Agricultural Development — Rural Youth Employment

The International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) invites applications for grants to implement rural youth employment opportunities. The grant program will be implemented in nine countries in Sub-Saharan Africa, for a total amount of up to US$1.2 million. The applicant must ensure a minimum cash contribution of eight per cent of the total proposal cost and an in-kind contribution. The recipient can be a governmental organization, a business development institution, a civil society organization, an academic/research institution or a private sector entity. World Bank Group — Youth Summit 2022

The World Bank Group seeks applications for the Youth Summit 2022 under the theme “Unlocking the Power of Inclusion for Equitable Growth”. The Summit empowers youth to explore innovative ideas to social, environmental, and economic challenges. Participants shall provide innovative and concrete solutions that showcase the role of the youth in environmental inclusion (e.g. Climate Change Mitigation, Adaptation, Climate Smart Technologies). The competition is open to individuals or teams not exceeding four people, aged 18 – 35. Participants must be nationals from World Bank member countries. Selected teams will be mentored by experts, have access to a network of leading professionals and young social entrepreneurs, participate in virtual events and workshops, and receive seed-funding.
