Jewish Helping Hands — Grant Program

Jewish Helping Hands (JHH) supports vulnerable populations through a variety of programs focused on economic development and social empowerment through financial and hands-on support. JHH considers making grants to individuals or organizations that provide the basic necessities for a decent life, including water, food and womens’ empowerment. Projects are ordinarily eligible for awards up to $5 thousand. JHH seeks to partner with grassroots organizations in East Africa, Central America, North America, any impoverished Jewish Communities, and Israel. European Union — Clean Cooking Solutions in Tanzania

The CookFund program seeks to reduce climate change impact in Tanzania by increasing the share of the population with access to sustainable cooking solutions. The CookFund targets suppliers of clean cooking technologies in urban areas. The program provides technical and financial support to eligible enterprises and companies. L’Oreal and UNESCO — Women in Science International Awards

The Women in Science International Awards designates five outstanding researchers in Life and Environmental Sciences, each working in one of the following regions: Africa and the Arab States, Asia and the Pacific, Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean, North America. Each of the Laureates will receive €100 thousand. The candidate must be actively involved in scientific research in any field of Life and Environmental Sciences. Women of the Future Awards – Nominations Southeast Asia

The Women of the Future Awards Southeast Asia showcases regional emerging leaders to encourage, motivate and provide role models for future female Asian leaders. The Awards are open to women aged 35 or under. Candidates must be citizens or permanent residents of Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, or Myanmar. All shortlisted candidates will be invited to join our Women of the Future global community and receive a complimentary place to attend the 2023 WOF Awards Southeast Asia. Canada Fund for Local Initiatives — Community Projects in Mozambique, Eswatini, and Angola

The Canada Fund for Local Initiatives invites proposals that meet the needs of local communities in Mozambique, Eswatini, and Angola. The priorities under this call include one on environment and climate action focusing on adaptation and mitigation, as well as on water management. The average contribution is C$25 thousand to C$50 thousand per project. Eligibility extends to local community organizations, non-profit organizations, and academic institutions. International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development — Training in Earth Observation and Geospatial Information Technology

The International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD) invites women to apply for a theoretical and hands-on training on the use of earth observation (EO) and geospatial information technology (GIT). The four-day course provides young and early-career women with theoretical and practical knowledge to use EO data and GIT, with real-world examples from the HKH region. The training event is open to women from the Hindu Kush Himalayan (HKH) countries: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, China, India, Myanmar, Nepal, and Pakistan. Canada Fund for Local Initiatives — Community Projects in Jamaica

The Canada Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI) invites proposals that meet the needs of local communities in Jamaica. CFLI provides funding to projects that create income- earning opportunities for women (which may also include rural agricultural development). The average contribution is C$10 thousand to C$25 thousand per project. Eligibility extends to not-for-profit local, national or community-based organizations. U.S. Department of State — Women in Agriculture

The U.S. Government seeks to support projects that secure economic security of women in agriculture in Tunisia. Funds are available to support projects that empower previously marginalized women working in agricultural cooperatives to use innovative technical and entrepreneurial approaches to mitigate the impacts of climate change, increase profitability, and protect against food insecurity. The estimated award is US$1.5 million per year over the course of 3 years. Eligible applicants include U.S. or foreign non-profit organizations; institutions of higher education; international organizations; and small businesses. Conservation Nation — Global Grant Program

The Conservation Nation Grant Program provides funding to help save endangered animals and their ecosystems. Conservation Nation supports conservation practitioners from traditionally marginalized communities with ongoing professional development and capacity-building opportunities. Conservationists are eligible for funding up to US$10 thousand for a grant period of one to two years. Applications have to be received by 23 June 2023. Link to grant portal

U.S. Mission to Angola — Self-Help Program

The special self-help program of the U.S. Embassy to Angola supports small, sustainable community-based initiatives that have an immediate and strong impact on the local community. The Embassy expects to support different types of projects: from development projects such as agricultural and aquacultural cooperatives to women’s empowerment and the environment. Grants typically range from US$2.5 thousand to US$10 thousand per project. All applicants must include a significant community contribution. The Embassy welcomes applications from Angola-based nonprofit organizations, community based organizations, and citizens. The closing date for applications is 27 June 2023. Self-Help Program
