This funding round will test new technical solutions and catalyse ideas to improve food security and adaptation/resilience to climate change, among others. Global Partnership for Sustainable Development Data — Data for Development Projects 2018
The GPSDD seeks innovative proposals for data production, dissemination, and use. This year’s call is anchored around two themes: Scaling local data for impact and Fostering synergies between the communities. Smaller amounts of funding (starting at US$25 thousand) are made for riskier, unproven innovations at the pilot stage. The Global Challenges Research Fund invites applications to grow research capability in the UK to meet the challenges faced by developing countries. Examples of thematic areas include sustainable agriculture; clean air, water, and sanitation; renewable energy and materials; addressing environmental shocks and long-term environmental changes; and others. Investigators may request up to £3 million over two years.
