Young Water Solutions — Young Water Fellowship Program: Bangladesh

Young Water Solutions supports young entrepreneurs to launch their water and sanitation related social businesses. The Young Water Fellowship provides training, seed-funding and mentorship. The bootcamp aims to empower its participants to implement projects addressing water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH), water pollution, and water scarcity. After the bootcamps Fellows can apply for a funding of up to €5 thousand to pilot their business models over 6 months. To be eligible, applicants must be 18 to 30 years old, have at least an intermediate knowledge of English, intend to stay in Bangladesh for at least 1.5 years after the training and spend at least 15 hours per week to work on their social business. International Support Network for African Development — Environmental Education Program

The International Support Network for African Development (ISNAD-Africa) seeks to implement the Environmental Education Program (EEP) to identify environmental challenges in Africa and motivate youth to develop solutions to the identified problems and needs through critical thinking and the application of previously acquired knowledge from subjects in secondary school. The program seeks to provide youth with action competencies that will enable them to develop capacity and long-term commitment to sustainability for everyday life, career engagement or voluntary service as environmentalists or influencers. Each secondary school will be represented by a team of at least five (5) students and a coordinating teacher. ISNAD-Africa will provide technical support, monthly/quarterly meetings, as well as share possible opportunities with the clubs. Aspen Institute — New Voices Fellowship 2022

The New Voices Fellowship is a year-long program that provides intensive media and advocacy training for top development professionals in the developing world. The Aspen Institute aims to select 15-20 Fellows who will write opinion articles, participate in interviews with local and international media, and speak at international conferences. Subject areas of interest include food security, climate change, and other themes. For the 2022 class, Aspen will give special consideration to Fellows whose work focuses on COVID-19 relief, vaccine development, and pandemic resiliency. Feed the Minds — Economic Empowerment

Feed the Minds supports projects which empower people in least developed, low income and lower to middle income countries through the Education for Change program. Projects are implemented by local non-governmental organizations or community-based organizations working to support marginalized communities. Specific projects include vocational training, agriculture, on-farm and off farm income generating activities. Medium projects with budgets between £25 thousand and £150 thousand will be supported. World Academy of Sciences — Online Training: Biotechnology Policy and Biosafety Regulations

The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) offers eLearning opportunities in technical elements of Biotechnology Policy to regulators, governmental risk assessors, and relevant technical experts in least developed countries. IHEA Foundation — Sustainable Management of Resources and Cultural Heritage for Sustainable Development

The Specializing Master aims to strengthen transversal knowledge and support African Universities by contributing to upgrading their staff and nurturing a qualified generation of skilled young researchers and lecturers. The program is designed around 6 didactic modules (1 intro module, 2 transversal modules, 3 technical modules). The course is designed for young talents with an academic perspective: young lecturers and junior researchers. Scholarships covering the entire cost of the Master will be available for 35 applicants. IHE Delft Institute for Water Education — Online Course: Fundamentals of Freshwater Health

IHE Delft and Conservation International launch an open online course on freshwater health. The course explores fundamental aspects of each of these topics through interactive lectures, relevant readings and practical exercises. Participants completing the fundamentals course will also become eligible for a more advanced course beginning in early 2022. The course is free and available. Ashoka — ChangemakerXchange for Social Innovators in Europe

The ChangemakerXchange summit and accelerator program for ‘Empathy Changemakers’ for young social innovators aims to develop social-emotional competencies in children and youth to unleash their full potential to take responsibility for themselves, others and the planet. The aim of the summit is to build a cross-sectoral network of changemakers that work together to address societal issues in a collaborative manner. Eligibility extends to participants who lead, co-lead, have founded, or have co-founded an ongoing social venture that addresses a relevant social problem, including in the theme of Environment (among others). Applicants must come from Europe and be aged 18 – 35. ChangemakerXchange will cover the travel costs and conference costs for the event to be held in Cologne (Germany, October 2021). IDEX Accelerator — IDEX Fellowship 2022

The IDEX Fellowship Program aims to build the capacity of young professionals for social enterprise in areas such as agriculture, education, clean energy, sanitation, healthcare, livelihoods, and impact investing. The program provides six months of leadership training in enterprise development, including field placements at social enterprises in India. Candidates should be 21 to 35 years old, with a minimum of one to three years of professional work experience. Natural History Book Store — Gratis Books in Ecology and Conservation

The Natural History Book Store supports science and conservation by supplying wildlife and environment books and equipment. In its Gratis Books Scheme, NHBS collaborates with other UK-based organizations to donate books on ecology and conservation to worthy recipients in the developing world. Individuals may request a book for themselves or suggest it for others. All applications will be considered together, and the available copies will be awarded to those considered most able to benefit from them. Find available books
