The CEPF invites applications for biodiversity conservation among two or more biodiversity hotspots. Proposed projects must address multiple hotspots, including at least one of the following: Cerrado, Eastern Afromontane and Indo-Burma. Grants under this call will range from US$ 20 thousand to US$100 thousand. Eligibility for funding extends to community groups and associations, NGOs, private enterprises, universities, research institutes, and other civil society organizations. U.S. Department of State — Wildlife Trafficking Evidence Security and Destruction
The U.S. Department of State seeks applications for its “Wildlife Trafficking Evidence Security and Destruction” activity. The aim of this call is to implement evidence handling procedures and improve evidence management and chain of custody throughout wildlife trafficking cases Africa and Southeast Asia. The ASEAN Senior Officials Meeting on Youth (SOMY) announces the 5th ASEAN Youth Video Contest (AYVC) focused on the theme “Renewable Energy: Powering ASEAN’s Bright Future”. Young ASEAN filmmakers are invited to submit a 60-second video on the theme “Renewable Energy” showcasing what renewable energy sources mean to the future of youth and the region. The competition is open to amateur filmmakers (18 to 30 years old) from Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. 10 selected finalists will participate in a video production workshop in Hanoi, Vietnam (April 2019). Securing Water for Food — Summer Research Project
Securing Water for Food seeks master-level students or master-level graduates to act as field evaluators to conduct in-country, field research with SWFF in Ethiopia, India, Uganda, Bangladesh or South Africa. SWFF is looking for candidates that have the skills and interest in gathering qualitative and quantitative data from farmers and other stakeholders in emerging market economies. Selected applicants will receive a roundtrip airfare to and from the country of destination, a stipend of US$2,500 to cover trip expenses and another US$2,500 payment after submission of final deliverables. ZHAW Zurich University of Applied Sciences — Mobility Grants with South Asia and Iran 2019
Mobility grants encourage early-career Swiss researchers who seek the possibility to gain experience in international research and development projects in Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Iran, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan or Sri Lanka. Applicants from South Asia or Iran who wish to visit Switzerland for research purposes need to be scientists with a government accredited university or public research institute. For applicants from South Asia or Iran the fund may cover living allowances, public transport within Switzerland and a contribution towards research and local conference costs (up to CHF 2,500 per month during maximum 3 months). Funds will be disburses to the Swiss sending and/or host institute only, therefore international applicants should seek a partnership with ZHAW.
