The European Young Researchers’ Award (EYRA) aims to inspire early stage researchers in all research areas to incorporate a European dimension and perspective into their research. The 2020 call is open to early-career PhD and post-doctoral researchers from any nationality, who work in a European country. The award consists of a certificate, free participation (including travel) at the EuroScience Open Forum (ESOF), and one year free EuroScience membership. Administered by WWF Hong Kong, the Asian Waterbirds Conservation Fund supports the conservation of migratory waterbirds and their wetland habitats in the East Asian – Australasian flyway. IC-IMPACTS and the Department of Science & Technology (DST) of the Government of India invite proposals for the Cyber-Physical Systems to Support Green Buildings in Smart Cities. Projects under this call should aim at developing sensors, cyber-physical interfaces and solutions for energy reduction, net zero energy, carbon neutrality, reduced water usage, water harvesting, and on-site treatment, as well as to instigate other benefits for smarter and more sustainable buildings. UCL supports interdisciplinary research on themes relating to one or more of the Nahrein Network’s five aims through the Research Grant Awards program. Overarching aims of the program are related to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (water and land). Two types of funding are offered: small grants (up to £30 thousand) for projects led by Iraqi researchers, or collaborations between Iraqi and UK researchers; and large grants (up to £100 thousand) for collaborations between Iraqi, Lebanese or Turkish and UK researchers.
