TiE WOMEN — Support for Female Entrepreneurs

The TiE Women Program offers women founders the chance to showcase their innovative business ideas. Female-founded startups and established businesses gain visibility, network with industry leaders & investors, and access mentorship. Participants receive up to $50 thousand equity-free cash prizes. International Geosphere-Biosphere Program — PAGES Workshops and Educational Meetings

PAGES (Past Global Changes) supports research aimed at understanding the earth’s past environment to make predictions for the future. PAGES encourages international and interdisciplinary collaboration, including the participation of scientists from developing countries. The program offers funding to qualified organizers of workshops and educational meetings in support of PAGES objectives. Canada Fund for Local Initiatives — Community Projects in Indonesia and Timor-Leste

The Canada Fund for Local Initiatives supports small-scale, high-impact projects in Indonesia and Timor-Leste. The priorities under this call include environment and climate action focusing on adaptation and mitigation, as well as on water management. The average contribution is C$15 thousand to C$40 thousand per project. Eligibility extends to local community organizations, non-profit organizations, and academic institutions. Biomimicry Institute — Accelerator Program

The Biomimicry Institute seeks applications for its Ray of Hope Accelerator. The institute supports high-impact nature-inspired startups from all over the globe. Each selected startup receives US$15 thousand in non-dilutive funding and over US$50 thousand worth of in-kind services. Indo-German Science & Technology Center — Women Involvement in Science and Engineering Research

The Indo-German Science & Technology Center (IGSTC) invites applications from women researchers in India/Germany to participate and collaborate in an ongoing Research and Development project. Women researchers and entrepreneurs holding a regular position in academic research institutions in India and Germany may apply. The grant will cover basic project assistance. Inter-American Development Bank — Bioeconomy Entrepreneurship in the Amazon Basin

The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) seeks to support innovative bio-businesses in the Amazon Basin capable of supporting the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and increasing the resilience of targeted value chains and ecosystems in the Amazon region. Applicants can apply for technical assistance in the order of US$ 250 thousand to a maximum of US$ 500 thousand. Eligibility extends to startups, cooperatives, innovation agencies, producer associations, and knowledge institutions. Proposals will be received on a rolling basis until 15 May 2025. Senckenberg — Global Fellowships

Senckenberg offers fellowships to early-career scientists (doctoral candidates, postdoctoral researchers) from the Global South. Fellowships are offered for a 3-month period to establish and/or strengthen collaboration with scientific staff at Senckenberg. Applicants must hold a master’s or doctoral degree in biodiversity, anthropology, geology, collection-based research, or conservation ecology. Halcyon — Climate Fellowship

The Halcyon Climate Fellowship helps founders and entrepreneurs to address climate challenges through renewable energy, green building, agriculture, watertech, and blue economy solutions. Fellows receive expert training in Washington, DC, and critical resources to accelerate their venture. Fellows accepted into this program will receive US$10 thousand equity-free living stipend per venture. Eligibility extends to for-profit startups with scalable climate solutions from across Latin America and the Caribbean. The application deadline is 22 March 2024. Halcyon Climate Fellowship

Repsol Foundation — Energy Transition

The Repsol Foundation supports entrepreneurship and entrepreneurs that provide technological solutions to meet the challenges of the Energy Transition. The Foundation invites startups that have passed the pre-commercial phase and reached the testing phase with real customers to apply to the Entrepreneurs Fund. The Fund provides financial aid of up to €120 thousand and mentorship from former Repsol employees for one year. Repsol invites startups from the European Economic Area, Switzerland, or the United Kingdom. The program supports industrial technology solutions in low-carbon energy technologies, biotechnology, renewable energies, and natural solutions for reducing the carbon footprint. Rockstart — AgriFood Program 2024

Rockstart funds and empowers purpose-driven founders scaling impactful solutions by leveraging emerging technologies and new business models that improve the food supply. Rockstart invests in early-stage startups with a focus on agri-tech and food-tech. It seeks solutions that restore soils and oceans to become powerhouses for CO2 capture, innovations that create value from wasted food and reduce food loss, and tools that provide consumers with better access to trustworthy, nutritious food.
