TREE Fund — Building Bridges Initiative

The Building Bridges Initiative helps arborists and urban foresters communicate the value of trees and urban forests through engagement via collaborative research and other projects with public works officials, risk assessment professionals, civil engineers, wildlife researchers, soil scientists, and others. The maximum award value of grants is US$30 thousand. The Safe Arborist Techniques Fund (SATF) supports research and development into the techniques and equipment that arborists use in climbing, rigging, and working on trees to provide a safer working environment. The maximum award value of SATF grants is US$15 thousand. TREE Fund — Funding for Arboriculture and Urban Forestry

The Jack Kimmel International Grant Program makes grants to researchers in arboriculture and urban forestry worldwide. Projects of one to three years are funded to a maximum of US$10 thousand. In 2026, the grant program will be focused specifically on Arboriculture; Tree Health; and Risk Assessment. Applicants must send a brief Letter of Inquiry (LOI) before 15 September 2026 to apply. TREE Fund — Research in Arboriculture

The John Z. Duling Grant Program offers funding up to US$25 thousand for 1-3 years to support exploratory work in the early stages of untested but potentially transformative research in arboriculture. In 2026, the program will focus on Propagation, Plant Selection, Development of New Varieties, and Planting/Establishment and Arboriculture Theory and Practice. Breakthrough Prize — Breakthrough Junior Challenge

The Breakthrough Junior Challenge asks youth to submit scientific discoveries or explain a big scientific idea in Physics, Life Sciences, or Mathematics with a short video (max. 2:00 minutes). One winner receives a US$250 thousand post-secondary scholarship, including an additional US$50 thousand teacher prize and US$100 thousand Breakthrough Science Lab. Eligibility is limited to individuals between the ages of 13 and 18 but is open to participants worldwide without geographic limitations. Videos have to be submitted by 15 September 2026. Know more

Charles Hayward Foundation — Livelihoods Support in Africa

The Charles Hayward Foundation invites applications for its overseas main grants to support development projects in the Commonwealth countries of Africa. The program funds initiatives focused on clean water and sanitation, sustainable livelihoods linked to environmental conservation, and agricultural training for income generation. UK-registered charities with an annual income between £150 thousand and £4 million are eligible to apply. SENSE Foundation Brussels — Health and Sustainability Project Grants

The SENSE Foundation Brussels invites applications for its project grants program. Women of the Future Awards — Nominations Southeast Asia

The Women of the Future Awards Southeast Asia showcases regional emerging leaders to encourage, motivate, and provide role models for future female Asian leaders. The Awards are open to women aged 35 or under. Candidates must be citizens or permanent residents of Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, or Myanmar. All shortlisted candidates will be invited to join our Women of the Future global community and receive a complimentary place to attend the 2026 WOF Awards in Southeast Asia. European Commission — Alleviating Household Energy Poverty

The European Commission invites proposals for the LIFE program to address energy poverty and protect vulnerable consumers in Europe. The initiative supports projects that implement practical solutions, such as small-scale energy efficiency renovations, improved access to renewable energy, and the establishment of local advisory services for energy-poor households. Eligible applicants include legal entities such as non-profit organizations, public authorities, and private companies established in EU member states or associated countries. Funding is provided as a co-financing grant covering up to 95% of eligible project costs, with individual project budgets typically ranging from US$1 million to US$2 million. European Commission — Technical Assistance for Strategic Integrated Projects (Climate)

The European Commission provides technical assistance grants to support the preparation of Strategic Integrated Projects (SIPs) under the LIFE Programme. These grants are available to public bodies, private non-commercial organizations, and for-profit entities based in EU Member States or countries associated with the LIFE Programme. The funding is intended to help applicants develop full SIP proposals that implement regional, multi-regional, or national climate action plans.
