OpenIDEO — Reimagine Charitable Giving Challenge

The Reimagine Charitable Giving Challenge seeks innovative digital ideas on how we might reinforce a culture of generosity by creating charitable giving solutions that are more accessible, inclusive, and effective. Ideas, concepts, startups and organizations at any stage of development are invited to participate and may be submitted to the challenge. Global Affairs Canada — Canadian International Development Scholarships Program

Global Affairs Canada invites concept notes from Canadian organizations to implement the Canadian International Development Scholarships Program 2021-2029, which will provide international scholars access to Canadian post-secondary institutions. The scholarships program must be designed to enhance social and economic development for scholars in eligible Francophonie and Commonwealth countries, as well as other Small Island Developing States. SVG Ventures — THRIVE Africa Challenge

Silicon Valley Global Ventures is an investment, technology and advisory firm that invests in companies that go through their accelerator program. The THRIVE Africa Challenge seeks innovative solutions specifically designed for the African agrifood industry. SVG Ventures will select the best startups and scale-ups for investment. The winner will participate in the Silicon Valley Startup Bootcamp (Summer 2021) and have the opportunity to pitch their idea in front of global investors. The Africa-Europe Innovation Partnership, funded by the European Commission, aims to connect high-quality tech hubs from both continents to explore opportunities for mutually beneficial partnerships. The Cleantech Challenge seeks startups from Africa and Europe in the clean energy sector with the aim to match African and European startups to co-create complementary innovative clean energy solutions. Cambodia Climate Change Alliance — Innovation Responding to Climate Change

The Cambodia Climate Change Alliance (CCCA) offers grants in support of Cambodia’s national priorities on climate change. The CCCA expects to award grants in amounts between US$50 thousand and US$100 thousand. Proposed projects should include innovative elements (technology or processes) and demonstrate a clear understanding of barriers to the adoption and scaling-up of the proposed innovation(s). The program is open to government ministries or agencies; NGOs (local and international based in Cambodia); and universities (based in Cambodia). NaturVision Filmfestival — Documentary Competition

NaturVision is a nature and environmental film festival in Ludwigsburg (German) with focus on documentary productions on the subjects of nature, wildlife, people, environment, and sustainability. NaturVision seeks film entries for its 2021 festival in 12 different categories. The competition is open to new and established filmmakers as well as television production companies from anywhere in the world. The “NaturVision Competition” awards prizes ranging from €1 thousand to €10 thousand in various categories. Early submission is free of charge until 30 November 2020. European Union and Republic of Turkey — Climate Change Adaptation Grant Program

The European Union and the Republic of Turkey invite concept notes for participation in the Climate Change Adaptation Grant Program (CCAGP). Projects should target the overall objective of enhancing climate change adaptation in Turkey through actions that improve resilience of communities and cities, protect natural resources and ecosystems and enhance adaptation capacity of vulnerable economic sectors. Grants requested under this call can range between €50 thousand and €450 thousand. Eligibility extends to local and international nonprofit organizations, universities, municipalities or local authorities. Lithuanian Development Cooperation — Development Cooperation Projects 2021

Lithuanian Development Cooperation makes grants to fund projects in developing partner countries. Submitted project applications must conform to the multilateral and/or bilateral strategic agreements between partner countries in Eastern Europe (detailed in the announcement), this includes environmental protection and sustainable agriculture technologies, among other thematic areas. The Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund (CEPF) invites applications for small grants to promote conservation of biodiversity in the Mountains of Central Asia. U.S. Agency for International Development — Water Resources Management for WASH in Nigeria

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) accepts concept papers with focus on reducing water borne diseases. USAID intends to provide direct awards to new and underutilized local organizations in Nigeria or locally established partners. Projects should address the priority area of water and sanitation, behavior change related to WASH practices, or WASH institutional development and watershed management. USAID intends to provide up to US$10 million in total funding to be allocated over five years. The closing date for applications is 02 November 2020. Link
