Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs — Clean Energy for Development

The Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Norad invite applications for the Clean Energy for Development program to support renewable energy projects in developing countries. This call is specifically for commercial enterprises in the renewable energy sector focusing on on-grid and mini-grid solutions. Eligible projects include development studies and the construction of basic public infrastructure, such as grid equipment or access roads, which must be transferred to public ownership upon completion. The grant covers up to 50% of eligible project costs and is disbursed in arrears, requiring the applicant to finance the remaining 50% and manage initial expenses. While no fixed grant amount is specified, applicants must demonstrate technical and administrative capacity and a deep understanding of the local context. European Training Foundation — Green Skills Award 2026

The European Training Foundation (ETF) invites applications for the Green Skills Award 2026 to recognize excellence in developing skills for the low-carbon economy. The award is open to a wide range of applicants, including schools, training centers, businesses, NGOs, and government agencies, particularly from ETF partner countries (South and Eastern Mediterranean, Western Balkans and Türkiye, Eastern Partnership, and Central Asia). Earth Journalism Network — Biodiversity Media Grants 2026

The Earth Journalism Network (EJN) offers grants to strengthen biodiversity reporting and increase public awareness of environmental threats. These grants support projects that produce in-depth journalism, such as investigative series or podcasts, and may include capacity-building activities like journalist training and field reporting trips. Eligibility is open to media organizations, journalist networks, and journalism-focused institutions based in low- and middle-income countries. The Iris Project — Prize for Nature Conservation

The Iris Prize celebrates and supports young people accelerating action to protect and restore nature. The Iris Project awards three grants each year: US$5,000 for ages 14-24 awarded for a new idea; US$10 thousand for ages 16-24 awarded for an existing project; US$15 thousand for ages 16-24 awarded for an established project. Austrian Development Agency — Business Partnership Challenge

The Austrian Development Agency (ADA) invites applications for the Business Partnership Challenge to support sustainable private sector projects in developing countries. The program is open to enterprises, chambers, and non-profit foundations based in Austria, the European Economic Area, or Switzerland that have been in operation for at least three years. Projects must be implemented in partnership with local organizations in low- or middle-income countries and focus on promoting decent work, inclusive growth, and small business development. Google.org — Impact Challenge: AI for Science

Google.org invites applications for its AI for Science Impact Challenge, a US$30 million global initiative to accelerate scientific breakthroughs using artificial intelligence. The program focuses on two primary domains: health and life sciences, and climate resilience and environmental science. Eligible applicants include nonprofit organizations, academic and research institutions, and for-profit social enterprises with a clear social impact purpose. Selected organizations will receive grants ranging from US$500 thousand to over US$3 million, alongside participation in a six-month Google.org Accelerator providing pro bono technical expertise and Google Cloud credits. Climate Curve — Climate Curve Prize: Methane

Climate Curve invites applications for the Climate Curve Prize: Methane to support global solutions for methane mitigation in food and waste systems. The program targets five categories: mitigation, social and cultural pathways, monitoring and verification, and finance. The prize is open to applicants worldwide, including individuals, non-profit organizations, and for-profit companies. Miller Center for Social Entrepreneurship — Training for Social Entrepreneurs

The Miller Center for Social Entrepreneurship accepts applications for an accelerator program focused on social enterprises working on women’s economic power and/or climate resilience. The program is designed for established social entrepreneurs who directly serve people living in poverty who suffer disproportionately from climate change. Climate resilience falls into one of the following three categories: sustainable energy, availability of sustainable management of water and sanitation, and climate-smart agriculture. Non-profit, for-profit, or hybrid social enterprises that have a clear commitment to an earned revenue model with the potential for scale are all encouraged to apply. Water Research Foundation — Research Award

The Water Research Foundation (WRF) recognizes individuals for innovative research in water quality and the water environment. The award includes a US$100 thousand grant. The award is open to individuals from all segments of the water quality community. Self-nominations are accepted. There are no restrictions based on citizenship or nationality. Charity Entrepreneurship — Incubation Program on How to Start a Charity

Charity Entrepreneurship accepts applications for a two-month, fully cost-covered boot camp open to individuals who want to create, start, and operate an effective charity. The Incubation Program covers management, fundraising, impact analysis, and hands-on knowledge of established non-profit organizations. New organizations will receive seed grants of up to US$200 thousand in addition to legal support, and connections to donors, mentors, and potential employees.
