The World Food Programme (WFP) invites innovators, entrepreneurs, and organizations from Iraq to contribute solutions to strengthen the capacities of local communities to adapt to climate change and improve livelihood opportunities. WFP will provide comprehensive support to selected teams, facilitating the development and scaling of the most promising solutions. DocA provides financial support for the development, production, post-production, and impact production of documentary films to filmmakers and producers from the African continent. DocA makes grants valued at US$5,000. To be considered, applicants must be African producers of African nationality and commit to completing the short film (less than 20 minutes) within a year of receiving the grant. AXA Research Fund — Research on Risk Management, Academic Chairs 2025
The AXA Research Fund supports research to help understand risk management and prevention, including risks related to natural disasters and climate change. Applications can be submitted by pre-registered research institutions in EU member states and collaborating countries — including a selection of developing and emerging countries in the Asia-Pacific region; Africa and the Middle East; and Latin America. Halcyon — Climate Resilience & Food Security in Africa
The Climate Resilience & Food Security Fellowship brings together entrepreneurs from across Africa, empowering them to address climate resilience and food security. Participants will receive expert training, critical resources to accelerate their ventures, a one-week in-person residency in Washington, DC, and a one-week in-person residency in Nairobi, Kenya. MedWet — World Wetlands Day
MedWet launches a call for projects to financially support actors in the realization of educational animations within the framework of the World Wetlands Day 2025. MedWet will select up to 34 projects and provide financial support of €250 for the implementation of campaigns and educational activities that highlight the importance of wetlands for humanity and the planet. Earth Journalism Network — Mediterranean Media Initiative Story Grants
The Earth Journalism Network (EJN) supports the production of in-depth stories covering current and emerging marine issues in the Mediterranean. EJN offers up to 10 story grants with a budget of up to €1,000 each for this round of story grants to support reporting on illegal fishing and the biodiversity crisis in the Mediterranean region, as well as solutions to marine issues. Applicants can be from any country that borders the Mediterranean Sea. The International Centre for Advanced Mediterranean Agronomic Studies (CIHEAM) invites applications for the Youth Innovation Award. CIHEAM will reward an innovative solution (scientific or entrepreneurship product/service) that contributes to the green and blue transition to improve human well-being and social equity while reducing environmental risks and ecological scarcities and contributing to zero climate impact. Watson Institute — Western Union Foundation Fellowship
The Western Union Foundation Fellowship is for young entrepreneurs and community leaders who are from highly marginalized, refugee, and forcibly displaced communities around the globe. The Awa Prize highlights women entrepreneurs from Belgian development cooperation countries and their projects. The prize aims to promote women entrepreneurs in their local community and strengthen them in their entrepreneurial success. The winner receives €50 thousand in support of their enterprise and one week in Belgium. Participating countries for the 2024 edition: Benin, Burkina Faso, Burundi, DRC, Guinea, Ivory Coast, Jordan, Mali, Mauritania, Morocco, Mozambique, Niger, Palestine, Rwanda, Senegal, Tanzania, Tunisia, Uganda. Youth Climate Justice Fund — Funding for Young Climate Leaders
The Youth Climate Justice Fund seeks applications to support climate justice young leaders with trust-based funding, resources, and youth-to-youth capacity development. Groups can apply for a grant of up to US$10 thousand, which can be used for 12 months. Applying networks or collectives have to be led by young people aged 35 and under and be based in East Asia and Pacific, Middle East and North Africa, Sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean, South Asia, Europe and Central Asia, or North America.
