Lacuna Fund — Datasets on Climate and Forests

The Lacuna Fund seeks proposals from organizations interested in developing datasets that will help to better understand the relationship between Climate & Forests and generate interventions that could mitigate the impacts of climate change. Lacuna anticipates supporting up to 6 smaller projects with budgets between US$50-100 thousand and up to 3 larger projects with budgets ranging from US$200-300 thousand. To be eligible for funding, organizations must be either a non-profit entity, research institution or for-profit social enterprise. The deadline to apply is 01 June 2023. Climate and Forests

European Commission — Cross-Border Cooperation Montenegro – Albania

The European Commission (EC) supports cross-border cooperation with a view to promoting socio-economic development in Montenegro and Albania. The call for proposals seeks cooperation in the field of cultural and natural heritage preservation that enhances the competitiveness of the tourism sector, protects the environment and promotes climate change adaptation, or promotes labor. Applicants may request up to €900 thousand in project funding. Eligibility extends to non-profit organizations established in Montenegro or Albania. Vegan Society — Grant Program

The Vegan Society supports projects which will encourage non-vegans to go vegan and stay vegan. Projects should raise public awareness of veganism, promote veganism to non-vegans, and support people from marginalized backgrounds to access veganism. The typical award is no more than £1 thousand. CMCC Foundation — Climate Change Communication Award

The CMCC Climate Change Communication Award aims to showcase and promote the most creative and impactful initiatives that increase public awareness and disseminate science-based information and data related to climate change. Eligible submissions must present projects, initiatives and tools that communicate climate change through various forms such as arts, theater, video, podcasts, music, photography, journalism, gaming, education, or the use of digital channels and tools. The winning project will receive a cash prize of €5,000. The Award is open to individuals, teams or organizations, regardless of nationality. Eligible submissions must be sent by 15 June 2023. German Federal Environmental Foundation — PhD Fellowships

The German Federal Environmental Foundation (DBU) offers 60 research fellowships per year to young scientists in Germany and internationally across all disciplines of environmental protection. The funding period is 36 months with a monthly stipend of €1,500. DBU welcomes subjects of international importance, although the work has to be done mainly in Germany, and with a clear reference to the German environmental situation.
