Canon — Social and Environmental Community Support

Canon supports schools, non-profit and community groups who are addressing both social and environmental issues in their community and inspiring change for future generations throughout Oceania. The Canon Oceania Grants Program supports individuals and organizations. Each Grant recipient will receive AU$5,000 worth of cash and Canon products, ranging from cameras and printers, to projectors and other accessories. Nominations are accepted until 23 July 2023. French Development Agency — Social and Environmental Justice

The Agence Française de Développement (AFD) accepts expressions of interest for research projects that address the contribution for the commons and citizen participation from a social and environmental justice perspective. The budget requested must not exceed €200 thousand per project. The research projects must be carried out in developing countries specified in the announcement. This call is dedicated to teams of researchers and social actors engaged both in the production of new research and in a public policy dialogue. The call is open until 23 July 2023. More here

Global Landscapes Forum — GLFx Local Chapters

The Global Landscapes Forum (GLF) calls for local non-governmental organizations and grassroots initiatives to join the GLFx network as local chapters. Selected organizations will receive access to various opportunities and resources to support sustainable landscapes across the world, with a specific focus on Latin America, the Caribbean, Africa, and Asia-Pacific. Teach A Man To Fish — Trash To Cash Challenge

The Trash To Cash Challenge seeks young innovators who want to  launch a business which has a positive impact on the environment. The Challenge is to collect materials normally thought of as ‘trash’ or waste and create a new product with them. Then, participants have one day to sell their product and make as much cash as possible. Prizes are awarded to our most inspiring Ecopreneurs. Women and Gender Constituency — Gender Just Climate Solutions Award 2023

The Women & Gender Constituency invites applications for the Gender Just Climate Solutions Awards. The awards aim to showcase real solutions for a more just, equal and healthy planet, such as non-technical climate solutions, technical climate solutions, and transformational climate initiatives with a women or gender perspective. Three winners will each receive € 5,000 and a chance to attend the COPs. All types of activist, grassroots and women-led organizations working on issues related to climate change from all over the world are encouraged to apply. The deadline for submission is 30 July 2023. Global Good Fund — Fellowship Program 2024

The Global Good Fund Fellowship is a 12-month leadership development program for young social entrepreneurs who remain in their workplaces. Each fellow is offered mentoring; resources for leadership assessment; a peer network; and financial support. Past fellows represent enterprises for agriculture; environment; solar energy; and other green development. The program is open to applications worldwide. Candidates should be under age 40. U.S. Department of State — Combating Wildlife Trafficking through Outreach and Awareness

The U.S. Government announces an open competition for organizations interested in submitting applications for projects that counter trafficking of endangered and protected species for use in traditional medicine globally. The U.S. Government will mobilize resources, and strengthen operational capacity to combat nature crimes, including wildlife and timber trafficking. The program goal is to engage civil society and/or local NGOs in the prevention of trafficking of endangered and protected species. Funding ranges from US$500 thousand to US$1 million. Elsevier — Renewable Transformation Challenge

Elsevier announces the biennial Renewable Transformation Challenge. The challenge invites innovative proposals which contribute to the goal of transitioning to 100% renewable energy. The first prize winner receives €20 thousand. Eligibility to apply extends to organizations such as private enterprises, NGOs, and research institutions for undertaking projects and programs that help move the world toward an energy system supplied entirely by renewable energy sources. Heifer International — Pitch AgriHack Competition

Pitch AgriHack is a digital agriculture competition focused on accelerating entrepreneurial growth in the agriculture sector in Africa. The competition invites African businesses to pitch their approach to driving technological innovation in the agriculture sector. The competition provides cash prizes totaling US$45 thousand. A fourth invite-only category will award up to US$1.5 million in grants to scalable ventures that are already generating measurable impact for Africa’s smallholder farmers. U.S. Department of State — Strengthening Sustainable Communities in Panama and Costa Rica

The U.S. Department of State makes grants to incentivize support and help build sustainable communities in Panama and Costa Rica through the development of small to medium-sized business enterprises supported by small business development centers. Track one will focus on developing sustainable tourism for economic development. Track two will focus on workforce development which includes agriculture sectors.
