EIT Food invests in projects, organizations and individuals with innovative solutions for a healthy and more sustainable food system. EIT Food co-funds the development of commercial projects in the agrifood sector. The selected organization will receive funding of up to €600 thousand per activity for 12 months or up to €1,2 million per activity over a maximum of 24 months. Asian Development Bank — Climate Change Data Visualization Challenge
ADB South Asia Department (SARD) aims to increase the visibility of the importance of climate research and build climate action capacity in ADB developing member countries. The Data Visualization Challenge seeks data scientists and practitioners to create novel and insightful visualizations on climate change and resilience. The winner will have the potential to be contracted by ADB to develop and deliver workshops on data literacy and visualization for a total contractual value up to US$10 thousand. Commonwealth Secretariat — Commonwealth Youth Awards 2023
The Commonwealth Youth Awards for Excellence in Development Work recognize individuals ages 15 to 29 who lead innovative development projects in themes that include agriculture, small enterprise, skills training, climate change, environmental protection, sustainable livelihoods, and poverty reduction. The program selects regional winners from each of Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, and the Pacific. Winners are awarded grants of up to a total of £5 thousand in total to advance their projects. EuroMarine — School on Ocean Transformation
EuroMarine launches a call for proposals to host the inaugural EuroMarine School on Ocean Transformation. The School is an opportunity to host a training workshop that will equip attendees with new knowledge to address ocean challenges and should address one or more of the key priorities and challenges in marine science. The maximum budget available is €25 thousand. Proposals should involve at least three full Member Organizations of EuroMarine, from at least two different countries. Takagi Fund — Citizen Science
The Takagi Fund for Citizen Science invites grant applications from groups and individuals in Asia pursuing “Citizen Science”. Research Grants may cover research and travel expenses, printing, as well as workshops or symposia to communicate research findings to the public. Training Grants are to support an individual receiving training at educational institutions, NGOs, research institutes and can be used to cover travel, accommodation, tuition or related costs. EuroMarine — Scientific Working Groups
EuroMarine funds two Long-Term Scientific Working Groups with a maximum funding of €12,500 each. The aim of the working groups is to provide the EuroMarine community with recommendations on how to best contribute to the international and European initiatives for restoring and sustainably exploiting the oceans as well as to advance the research on emerging topics related to marine sciences. Proposals should involve at least three full Member Organizations of EuroMarine, from at least two different countries. Snow Leopard Network — Small Grants
The ‘With Snow Leopards’ Small Grant (SLSG) provides financial support and promotes snow leopard research and conservation across the snow leopard range. In 2022, SLSG will support 1-2 projects addressing Snow leopard research and conservation, public educational programs to promote snow leopard conservation, and research projects that address critical questions related to snow leopard ecology. Selected projects will be awarded between up to US$15 thousand. The proposed project duration should not exceed 12 months. Global Research Council — SDGs Collaborative Funding
The Global Research Council (GRC) aims to accelerate the achievement of the SDGs through collaborative research initiatives. Projects will be funded through international consortia consisting of eligible partner organizations from at least three different countries. Consortia must be based in the following countries: Chile, China, Côte d’Ivoire, Kenya, Norway, South Africa, Switzerland, Sweden, Tanzania, The Netherlands and Turkey. Islamic Development Bank — Empowering Youth for a Greener Future
The Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) invites youth-led non-profit organizations to propose new and innovative green ideas and solutions that will support training processes for young people living in post-crisis situations. The “Youth Green Skills Accelerator Challenge” seeks to equip youths (15-35 years old) living in Islamic States with the competencies required for supporting a just transition in their communities. Up to 10 finalists will receive mentoring and training for a period of one week to improve their projects. The top three ideas will be awarded US$50 thousand, US$30 thousand, and US$20 thousand respectively, to implement the proposed solution. Ideas must be submitted no later than 28 July 2023. Swedish Institute — Academic Collaboration in the Baltic Sea Region
The Swedish Institute offers funding to Swedish universities, for projects together with their partners in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Russia and Ukraine. The aim is to strengthen the capacity for internationalization within higher education and research. The program offers two types of project funding, Seed Funding of SEK 100-300 thousand for projects with a duration of up to 12 months, and Collaboration Funding of up to SEK 1 million for the duration of 18 months. The main applicant to SI must represent a Swedish university, but the application should be prepared jointly together in the partnership. Applications can be submitted until 30 September 2022. About
